Gerardo’s Bakery makes the BEST conchas aka Mexican sweet bread, reminiscent of the ones I loved as a child. I stop by this East Side spot located on Ewing Ave. whenever I am in the area. Gerardo’s is not fancy…but its a fun spot full of yummy treats. Friendly and mostly Spanish speaking staff.
The bakery is small, not very fancy but there are baked goods filling the place. It's a little overwhelming but fun too look around at all the options. The donuts ? were delicious. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

This is THE bakery for pan dulce. Everything is so delicious - fresh out of the oven and warm. I moved away from the area but still come here to get my fix. Also, I asked and they catered mini conchas for my daughter's quinceañera. They were great to work with and I'll do it again!
