Moved to the neighborhood about a year ago and the food and cocktails at this place always hit. I had the squash risotto last night and it might be the best risotto I've ever had. The steak and burger are my usual choices but I'm glad I tried something new. My friend had the halibut and it couldn't have been cooked more perfectly.
Their happy hour cocktail specials are the best in the neighborhood (that I've found). The bar is always busy and it's a great place to meet other people from the neighborhood too.
Bartenders and servers are super friendly and the lighting and candles everywhere really give it a great vibe.
Overall a rarity these days to have a such a cool neighborhood bistro that hasn't been bought out and ruined by some big company. Check it out!

Drinks were great, bartender was so sweet and nice! Think it said his name was Mitch on our check. Food was not bad but my personal feeling is that it could use some elevation and refining. The serving sizes match up with the prices, nice large portion sizes, perfect for sharing.
Diving deeper:
Charcuterie, plate presentation could be better, the meats on it felt like an odd cold cut combo you get at a deli. Plenty of cheeses to choose from as one would like! The bread is soft and nice.
Steak tartar is a larger cut premixed type of preparation. I personally prefer the finer cut/ground type of meat. Bread portion is nice, having it sliced and toasted individually would be a nicer touch for me. The presentation doesn’t matter otherwise weather it comes premixed or plated for all the individual ingredients.
French onion was not very warm and a bit too sweet.
Cheesecake was nice, not super sweet which I feel pairs well with cocktails!
Overall good experience, great place!

We had a great time at Vincent. The atmosphere was fun and laid-back but still lively enough to feel like a nice night out.
The Risotto was solid and the drinks were well-made. Special shoutout to Chloe the bartender. Not only was she attentive and quick with service but she also had a great vibe that added to our experience. We had the Scenic Root cocktail and a nice White. Overall a chill spot worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Vincent exceeded all my expectations! The French onion soup was absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and perfectly topped with a gooey layer of melted cheese. The cheeseburgers were spot-on, juicy, and packed with flavor. My son ordered the steak frites and couldn’t stop raving about how perfectly cooked and seasoned they were.
The drinks were a highlight as well—carefully crafted and delicious, each one felt like a work of art. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. We sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and I watched her make all the craft cocktails which looked amazing.
We didn’t think we’d have room for dessert after such a fulfilling meal, but they were so good I ended up finishing mine and half of my son’s! Every bite was worth it.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for exceptional food, drinks, and service. I can’t wait to return!

I’ve been coming here for years the food and cocktails are always spot on. It’s a quintessential neighborhood spot with an amazing staff who always goes above and beyond. All of these reviews from people who have been here only one time and think they are an expert on this place are highly incorrect.

I dined here for the first time yesterday, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. I’m not usually a picky eater, but this was the first time I couldn’t finish a dish. The roasted chicken was overwhelmingly salty—so much so that I even tried removing the skin to salvage it, but it didn’t help. It almost tasted as though it had been brined. Paired with the bland gnocchi, the combination of the two made for an unpleasant meal. The escargot was also underwhelming.
On a positive note, the kale salad was fantastic, with the farro adding a great, meaty texture. The sourdough was delicious, and the drinks and atmosphere were excellent. While this could have been a one-off experience, after reading other reviews, it seems that uneven dishes are a common theme. I’d recommend stopping by for a drink and enjoying the vibe, but perhaps skip the food.

Although the service was a bit cold and lackluster, we loved the space! Very romantic and atmospheric. Overall the food was good. Apps and steak were a hit. The trout was just okay due to the very thick pastry crust.

In my trekking through the northside hinterland of Chicago I have endeavored to find a Belgian (or French) boîte. Vincent loos so enticing! Twinkling lights, a short bar with young patrons: what could possibly go wrong? Overpriced beer and small - but good tasting - portions are a real hurdle but forgivable if the service is stellar. However, the service is really too casual for the price point: a beanie-topped bartender was clearly more interested in chatting with her peer group than making sure a stranger got a bit of attention. Pity the college-degreed kids who mistake a service job for a kaffeklatsch.
