Amazing everything. Only thing I think can be improved is the volume of the music. It was too loud to talk to anyone. But overall, anabsolute marvel of a new place

Been here multiple times and honestly this place never disappoints. They really perfected the craft John and Emily touching every plate, the attention to detail is on the highest level. This is the best burger in the city! Honestly I'm Shocked they don't have a star. Its raw, real, unapologetic and just simply perfection.

Honestly just didn’t hit the mark at all considering the price point. Food was extremely mediocre. The music is SIGNIFICANTLY too loud inside. Like truly not an enjoyable atmosphere whatsoever. The only aspect that did shine was our server.

Very mediocre. Nothing special came with high expectations and none of us liked the food
Dined at Warlord’s bar tasting menu ($225/person). Portions were small and the main course meat felt more like a show (lots of flame/flash) than a standout tasting, and it didn’t include some of their signature items like the dry-aged burger. Highlights today were the spicy scallop, the salmon, and the rum cake dessert. Surprisingly, the non-alcoholic pairing was the best part—more memorable than several of the courses.

I had been wanting to have dinner at Warlord for so long. I came here last year on my birthday but didn’t make it in time and their seating had filled and they already had the waitlist full for the next seating. So, this year I tried again, and it was easier. No wait, got in, got seated at the bar. The atmosphere is really cool and intense. That’s about as good as it got for us.
I really wanted to try the burger after all the reviews, but I also wanted the salmon. Since this was a birthday dinner, I asked my bf to get the salmon so that we could split our dishes. Cool. Cool. Cool. Except nothing was great or worth the hype or the price.
At the bar, at some point before our food arrived, one of the bartenders was shaking up a cocktail and the 2 sides weren’t sealed as he shook it, so it spilled on my boyfriends neck and collar. Womp. The bartender apologized profusely, and gave him two big napkins. That was it. When a dining *experience* costs this much money and a cocktail gets squirted on you in a place that is probably run like a tight ship to create an experience for its diners, something like this is kind of unacceptable. I thought maybe he would make it up to him or offer something, but nope.
When the food came, his Salmon portion was 3in.x3in. IT WAS TINY! It melted like butter in our mouths, but each of our shares of this 3x3in (1.5x3)salmon were gone in 2-3 bites, for a whopping $36! I thought maybe that’s just the fancy meal size and we should accept it, but at the end of the meal, when we were putting on our coats, I saw the the couple next to us also ordered salmon, but they had a portion almost twice as big! Who is cutting the salmon and why wasn’t it consistent?! Since these entrees don’t come with anything on the side, I feel like the consistency should at least have had us covered to make sure we actually got a whole entree and not half of one.
The burger was good. I wouldn’t say it was the best I’ve ever had, but it was very good. Again, I’m gonna come down on the price, and maybe I wouldn’t be as disappointed if the salmon hadn’t soured the food poo art of the experience. This was split with my boyfriend, and I guess I would have had to share it no matter what since his entree’s salmon portion was so tiny. Nothing comes with anything on the side. Well, actually, the burger did come with a 2x2 chunk of pickled radish (daikon?) on the side, but nothing else.
Our drinks were fine.
He paid since it was a birthday dinner and I did snap a pic of the receipt, but I wish I had paid attention! They charged a $3.95 service fee! Service fees are incredibly irritating at most places, but to add it here where it’s upscale dining that is already pricey. I assumed whatever it’s for would be covered in the pricing or that if they’re charging a service fee in addition, then there would be better service.
I can’t say that anyone was attentive to us, and I don’t remember any interaction besides being seated, our drink order being taken, food order being taken, bar tender spilling some cocktail on my bf, food brought, check brought and card charged. Nothing memorable except that our Salmon was noticeably tinier than someone else’s and my bf got squirted with a cocktail shaker. This was a disappointing experience. I can’t say I’d recommend it to anyone I know. I don’t know if others are sold on the hype or our experience was just that far off.

Love this place so much. Food and atmosphere are always top notch. We had bread with cheese and foie gras, swordfish, ribeye and rum cake. Every bite was lovely!

Went on a 1h 20min power walk from Jefferson Park and ended up at Warlord for a spontaneous dinner. Sat right in front of the live fire grill, which felt like sitting in a medieval tavern but with loud rock music and contemporary fare. A bizarre combination, but it works really well. I was last here in 2023, and I’m glad they are now Michelin-listed.
I had the Raw Bigeye Tuna and Melted Eggplant, paired with a sparkling German Sekt and a Vinho Verde from Portugal.

Went there without a reservation and got seated fairly quickly. The staffs are friendly and nice. Food was good, too, though the dishes come with a higher price tag.
What was bothering us was the loud music. The US restaurants and bars generally are loud, but this place was like a club. It was intense from the entry way to the back. We had to scream at each other to have a conversation and leaning in to understand the staff. Would recommend the team to tone it down a notch, unless your intent is for ppl to feel so uncomfortable, they’ll dine & leave quickly.

Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. We got there at about 5:55pm, waited about 15 minutes to put our name in, and then got a drink at Sleeping Village until our table was ready around 7:15pm. Super cool ambience with the industrial music and the dark lighting.
We got the olives to start, which were elite. Then we got two grilled oysters and two raw oysters, both of which were great (though the grilled are definitely a must-try). Next was possibly the best appetizer I've ever had: demi-hydrated tomatoes with fermented honey and toast. I would eat it every day if I could.
The two entrees were superb (salmon and the burger), though I could see some people not liking the burger since there is no cheese and it is quite salty.
Every cocktail was great too. Will definitely be back.

What can I say… we walked in, Liquid Swords came on, had an old style and the best burger I’ve ever had. Was it all just a dream?

Warlord's is a must when you are craving a good burger in the city. I would say this is definitely top 5 in Chicago! Worth the money. We were seated at the chefs table where we got to watch the magic happen. The technique they use to grill their burgers is very unique and you can taste it from your first bite! Great experience! Dry aged burger patty was cooked to perfection! Flavors are rich and deep till the last bite so juicy, you completely forget that there's no cheese on the burger it's phenomenal...Very unique set up inside with a medieval feel. Dark, but very intimate. Staff and service was nothing less than great! I would recommend going 30 minutes before they open on a Monday, to give you better chances of seating they do not take reservations. 100% recommended!!
