Best service in the South Loop. Awesome place to go with friends or family. Food is great and beer list is solid.

So the blueberry pancakes were 10 out of 10, but my chicken and waffles were overcooked and dry. Our waitress was great and made it right. I had the passion fruit cocktail. It was good but definitely strong.

Weather Mark Tavern brings a nautical, neighborhood bar charm to Chicago's South Loop. It's praised for its welcoming atmosphere, often with a lively crowd, and a menu featuring solid pub fare. Many enjoy it for happy hour and casual meals, with some highlighting their pizza and drinks. It provides a relaxed and fun setting, a great spot to unwind in the area.

My husband and I were in from out of town. One thing I’ve learned about visiting Chicago is to make sure to have dinner reservations. I made a reservation for Weather Mark Tavern because it seemed like a casual place close to our hotel. We got reminders about our upcoming reservation and got there right on time only to find out it’s a seat yourself place and every table was full. Luckily 2 people left the bar so we were able to snag their seats. Food and drinks were good. Our poor bartender was the only one working for the entire place (which was packed). She appeared to make some phone calls and several people show up within the hour to help her. So overall, we enjoyed our time here but please remove the reservations tab on your website.

I’ve been visiting this establishment sporadically the past 15+ years. The food has always been great. The staff has been consistently amazing. And the atmosphere is always better when Mark is there, always vigilant. Especially this past Sunday while my girlfriend and I were dining on the patio. BONUS: Thanks for sponsoring our softball team many moons ago, Mark.

I walked in. They looked at me like I had five heads , told me the kitchens closed , no hello , and then I walked out. 👍

My brief experience at this establishment was terrible. The staff is extremely rude and ignored me while trying to pick up a to go order. I stood at the designated pick up spot- no one greeted me. Looked at me, but did not tend to my needs. I navigated to the bar and the bartender stayed at the opposite side of the bar despite looking way several times. I walked toward him, one last effort to be serviced and he said “you’re the to go order right.” If you knew that- why have I been standing here so long. The other waiter was cleaning and did not tend to me either. I will never be back.

Ksenia was wonderful, my espresso martini delicious & the Greek salad was fresh and perfectly dressed!

Stopped by Weather Mark Tavern in the South Loop last Friday evening and had a fantastic experience. We took advantage of their all-you-can-eat fish fry special for $18.95, and it did not disappoint—the fish was crispy and flavorful, and the portions were generous. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a couple of their $10 espresso martinis, which were a delightful pick-me-up. The nautical-themed decor adds a unique and cozy vibe, making it a great spot to unwind after a long week. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty. With the lively atmosphere and delicious food, Weather Mark Tavern has definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation.
