i recently visited westins with my two young daughters this month. firstly, the good, we ordered three pressed ham and cheese sandwiches and a pistachio latte for myself (mommas treat after a long day!). The food was delicious. Served warm and looked great. My daughters were extremely happy with their after dance practice meal! My pistachio latte was also quite delicious- one of the best i’ve had if i do say so myself! However, the obscene and vulgar rap music that boomed throughout the place was distracting and disturbing for my young daughters to hear while eating. it was frankly very inappropriate and i felt uncomfortable bringing my children to a place that plays this type of music so loud. the kind young lady who took our order had trouble hearing and understanding us. lastly, while we waited for our meal, my heart dropped when seeing two young ladies work hard together to fulfill their orders while another male worker did not appear to be helping one bit. these young girls were rockstars, but it was so busy and the wait was long. great food and workers, but the management seems to be lacking. such a shame.

I never leave reviews but wanted to give this little gem the credit it deserves. Ordered twice (once yesterday via uber eats) and again in-person today (yes back to back lol). Both orders were great! Each time I got a customized iced coffee and sub (Weston’s sub and OriginalTurkey). Ingredients were super fresh, lunch meat was high quality and the amount of each ingredient was perfect. The two girls working today were super friendly, acknowledged me right when I walked in and did a great job with my off-menu coffee order. This is definitely my new coffee/ lunch spot. Wish I’d taken a pic of my food but I’m a savage and ate it all already. Couple pics of the cute, mellow interior vibe. Great place to catch up with a friend or remote work day.

They make a good cortado. They have mugs for dining in. Nice places to sit. Pretty good sandwiches too.

I visit Chicago every year for NYE and Weston’s has become a familiar favorite of mine year after year. I love that the lavender lattes are year-round, absolutely scrumptious pastries, friendly staff, and the environment is comfortable. Earlier this month before heading out, I went to purchase a sweatshirt but they didn’t have any in store in my size. Nick, the owner, went above and beyond offering to meet up beforehand, but I just didn’t have time-so he shipped it. It’s so comfy and I love that I’m able to represent another business that is close to my heart. Thanks, Weston’s!

I'm an idiot and I spilled a full americano all over the floor but the workers were so nice, cleaned it up right away and made me a new one without me asking. Coffee & food were delicious and ambience is super cute / great to get work done.

Expensive mediocre beverages. The staff is so friendly and polite, but their items are not affordable. I paid $8 for a small 12 oz BURNT matcha… the lady was kind enough to remake it but it was also burnt. Their whisk is also plastic:( For traditional matcha the water used should be 75 C degrees. It’s very unfortunate because this matcha has potential but all the tannins are in the way.

i come here often as i commute on metra. after consistently getting terrible food from this cafe at a premium price, i have become frustrated enough to write this review.

ordered a 12oz cafe au lait and egg/cheese wrap. the coffee was served by an indifferent barista who never made eye contact. while the metropolis coffee offered here is usually good, today it was flavorless.

i watched the other barista make my wrap: he laid out a gigantic tortilla and put one kraft (or maybe a generic brand) single of fake-o cheese on it. then he microwaved a small, precooked omelet-type thing, and put the "wrap" in a panini press. i had to ask for the "green chili salsa" (which was disgustingly sweet and reminded me of apple sauce) or it would not have been included.

i have to say that this sad experience is the norm for westons. i have ordered a variety of items and been disappointed with all. they do not have pricing anywhere, so who knows what each item actually costs, or if the price changes at the whim of the cashier.

i placed an order online on square and when i got in they said they never had my order. they then proceeded to take ten minutes in trying to figure out what to do and then REFUSED to give me a refund. i missed two of my trains and the manager had a horrible attitude. i am never coming back. i really wanted to support a local coffee shop but i’ve gone in multiple times and they given me horrible coffee and drinks and food. genuinely horrified at the treatment i received as someone who works in customer service. they are unbelievably slow and treat you like YOU are the problem as a customer.

I recently tried the “Chagachinno” mushroom coffee at this cozy café, and it was absolutely delicious! I had mine prepared with almond milk, and it was the perfect blend of rich, earthy flavors with a smooth, creamy finish. Highly recommend!
