...so even on a busy Friday, I was surprised to find a seat at the bar right away. The bartender was friendly, though clearly swamped. It's a popular Chicago establishment, and you can see why. Would come back for the convenience alone.

Rex Tavern is a perfect neighborhood bar that offers a welcoming atmosphere with sheer positive energy. The bartenders are amazing, attentive, and really nice, providing great service and excellent drinks that are strong. The bar is pet-friendly, allowing customers to bring their furry friends along, and the staff goes above and beyond to make them feel welcome. It features a dart board, a private patio with heaters, and a cool decor around the bar. They serve delicious frozen pizza and have a great selection of drinks. The outdoor area, including a new beer garden, is perfect for smoking or relaxing, and the bar is decked out in festive decorations during the holiday season. It’s a favorite local watering hole with a fun vibe.
