We had a great waiter Paul who explained the menu and made suggestions. We loved trying the infusions and interesting wine from regions we don't normally experience. The food was excellent-don't miss the short rib dish!
Every visit to Anelya is a wonderful and memorable dining experience. The food is always excellent and features modern takes on traditional Ukrainian dishes. On our recent visit, we had the Deviled Eggs, Eggplant rolls, and House-make Pickles from the Zakusky cart. Additional courses included Borsch with Pampushky, Poltava Halushky, Crayfish Holubtsi, and delicious Medovyk dessert. Be sure to sample the housemad horseradish vodka and the Blind Beaty cocktail that features this vodka.
Small plates were delectable! Main veg option could use some more but overall def a great place
Appetizers were great unfortunately my beef dish was very fatty. Seats are very close together... so maybe another time not sure
I've had better Ukrainian food especially for the value of what you get. Would not recommend getting the Prix Fixe Menu.
Not only do they have amazingly delicious food but the fusion in Ukrainian cuisine is extremely innovative! They also play amazing Ukrainian music!
Lots of great food choices, we need to go back a couple more times to try everything that we wanted. The wine by the glass selection had a lot to offer in Eastern European wines.
What a delightful experience! Anelya is both a cozy neighborhood place you can go to for casual dinners and somewhere you could celebrate a special occasion. We loved the zakusky (appetizer) cart, and everything we ate was delicious. We tried the deviled eggs, herring, eggplant rolls, mushroom soup, banosh (grits/polenta!), and the varenyky (like pierogis). And definitely get the bread basket. It was my friend's first time at Anelya, and she will also be back.
The food, service and interior are fantastic. We had the salo, trout roe tart, bread, and Hokkaido herring for appetizers. For entrees, we had the borscht, potato pancakes, holubtsi and krovyanka. Everything was delicious especially the borscht, holubtsi and krovyanka. It's 50% off on bottled wine on Wednesdays and we had the Teliani wine from Georgia, which paired nicely with our dinner. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely go back to try other items on the menu.
This place and crew are a rare treat. Being an omnivore Anelya is a natural for me their meat based dishes are bold and imaginative. Their pumpkin seed hummus and Chicken liver pate is to die for. Don't wait go now RIGHT NOW.

We really enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious. Staff was polite, efficient, and responsive. The appetizer cart was fun and also helpful in deciding what to order. Cocktails were good too. We'll be back!
It was our first time at Anelya and it won't be our last! What an absolute gem of a place. The food, the service and overall ambiance was just amazing!
Didn't know what to expect, but it was amazing and unique and super tasty! Highly recommend!
We greatly enjoyed all of the food we had. Our server was helpful in allowing us to know which foods we can order based on an allergy. Everything was great
The prices are way out of line. The portions are ridiculously small for the price they are charging, even for a tapas restaurant. Food was average. We were pretty disappointed in the experience. We ordered the fish meatballs & they were not good, so we didn't eat them. When the server asked if we wanted to take them home, we declined & said that we did not like them, they took them off our bill which was very nice.
