We had a great waiter Paul who explained the menu and made suggestions. We loved trying the infusions and interesting wine from regions we don't normally experience. The food was excellent-don't miss the short rib dish!
Every visit to Anelya is a wonderful and memorable dining experience. The food is always excellent and features modern takes on traditional Ukrainian dishes. On our recent visit, we had the Deviled Eggs, Eggplant rolls, and House-make Pickles from the Zakusky cart. Additional courses included Borsch with Pampushky, Poltava Halushky, Crayfish Holubtsi, and delicious Medovyk dessert. Be sure to sample the housemad horseradish vodka and the Blind Beaty cocktail that features this...
What a delightful experience! Anelya is both a cozy neighborhood place you can go to for casual dinners and somewhere you could celebrate a special occasion. We loved the zakusky (appetizer) cart, and everything we ate was delicious. We tried the deviled eggs, herring, eggplant rolls, mushroom soup, banosh (grits/polenta!), and the varenyky (like pierogis). And definitely get the bread basket. It was my friend's first time at Anelya, and she will also be back.
