Such an awesome bar for SO many reasons. A neighborhood staple that I miss frequenting now that I’ve moved out of state. Love you, Jimmys!!

Always a great experience. I felt bad because I didn't hear the bartender trying to give me change when I left a tip. 😂
I was lost in my phone. Great food...great value.....great vibes.

Look, I love jimmy’s. I’ve spent a lot of money there, I’ve had ppl spend money here. However, if I get served by this nasty female bartender who usually works on Tuesday and Sunday evenings I will turn around and leave. She’s shamed multiple friends of mine for tipping too little. She’s never served me personally but I’ve witnessed three (3) counts of her being awful to my friends, and they TIPPED yet she’s always complained that they didn’t tip enough. Tonight she almost stiffed my friend of $50 of change. When she came to her senses she kinda did a double take expecting my friend to give her a $10 bill or something and finally said to my friend “thanks for your two-dollar tip.” I love the jazz band on Sunday; unfortunately if she has to be in that time slot, I don’t think I can go and support Curtis’ band play anymore.

Had a very good Chicago Dog. The service was also very quick. Highly recommend anyone who is looking for a high quality Chicago dog at a reasonable price.

This place was so disgusting. Claimed we were “wasted” despite having no drinks there. The people there are incredibly unprofessional and do not deserve their license.
Great night at the bar. Lots of people, many new to the area because the Fall semester at the UofC is about to start up. A must see on the south side of Chicago.

I really like this place. They were slammed with new students so it took a while to be served but both bartenders were really nice. Good beer selection, and cool atmosphere (a little dark for my taste, but sit by the window). I'll be coming back!

Old school classic college bar. It is everything a college bar is expected to be. Great prices and could beer!
I haven't tried any of the new food offerings since they changed the menu. However I've heard great things about the updates.

Decent bar. Can get crowded. Friendly staff. Decently priced drinks. Gender neutral bathrooms. Cash only. Great for a drink and a bite when in HP.

Good food and good selection of drinks
Fabulous friendly staff and great prices!
Hawaiian burger was fantastic, and they have Heineken 0.0. Will definitely be back
Great neighborhood bar with tons of space and friendly bartenders. Cash only, which keeps drinks and food affordable. Summers are best because most students go home and the locals takeover. Jazz and blues every Sunday night. Late afternoon food specials rotate weekly.
Been here a couple of times. The beers are decent but the service is lacking. We (2 people only) were abruptly told to move and not sit in front of the bar although there were stools placed there by the business owners. Why are they there if you don't want people sitting there? The bartender demanded we switch seats without saying excuse me, please or thank you under the excuse that they want to serve drinks..as if we're somehow stopping them by occupying two seats across the bar. 🤨
So, so bizarre. No explanation was given, only a demand. Very rude fella, and doesn't even realize it. I am never coming back here..also, I hate places that only take cash. It's the 21st century yet they're stuck in the 1800's. Any business that is cash-only ought to be audited by the IRS.
