Great neighborhood bar with tons of space and friendly bartenders. Cash only, which keeps drinks and food affordable. Summers are best because most students go home and the locals takeover. Jazz and blues every Sunday night. Late afternoon food specials rotate weekly.
Easily the best bar in Hyde Park! Everyone who works there instantly makes you feel like family, the food is waaaay better than any dive bar has, and the prices are the best in Chicago.
I got a Mexican Mule which was great! The fries were perfectly crispy and salty! In the back they had a totally cool jazz band starting some local artists and college graduates! The music was great and I hope to go back for more live performances and a bite!
