My first visit to the Bayless empire. I didn't want to go, I didn't want to like it, but I'll admit it - it's legit good and I didn't feel overrun by cultural appropriation (and believe me, I thought I would). I might not make this a regular spot but it would be hard not to include it in your happy hour repertoire.
I’m sure it’s better for non vegetarians/vegans obviously since that’s not what they cater to, but as a vegetarian/ pescatarian the menu leaves something to be desired. I was dissatisfied with my eggplant sandwich combo which was very small and just insubstantial, carb heavy and unimpressive for the price. My bfs shrimp sandwich was also kind of unremarkable. I understand that vegetarian options are usually an afterthought at meat centric restaurants which is 90% of places...
We were quick to be seated which was pleasantly surprising for a Friday night. The staff were all great and super friendly. Our food was fantastic and came out very fast. All was great until the bill came. The cost was much higher than anticipated and they didn’t bring me a paper copy. Instead they handed me a handheld machine and something didn’t feel right. It was already on the tip screen so I decided to ask if they already added a tip, they said a 15% service fee is automatically...
