As usual, a delightful evening with friends. Noise can make it difficult to hear when in a large group at a round table, but still worth it. Generous portions as well.
When we walked in the hostess right away said seating is limited. I mentioned we has a reservation and she still said seating was limited. When I booked the reservation, it asked where I wanted to sit. Since both of my parents are in their 80s, I booked a standard table. She told us no standard tables were available. Then she looked and said you can have the one in the bar. The waiter took drink ordered and came back about 10 minutes later with the drinks and took our food order. Almost an hour later, the food arrived. I ran out of iced tea and it was never refilled. My parents were not very happy with my choice in restaurants to celebrate their house being sold. That said, the food was really good.
It is an amazing menu, with the perfect atmosphere to chat, have spirits, and laugh. Each dish is fresh! It is a comfortable place to gather!
Always a wonderful, delicious time at Zias!! This time I went with friends to watch the Cubs game in the bar area and we had a blast!
The menu and food are similar to the original Zias--that is to say delicious. We sat outside and the setting/ambiance is fantastic.
This was s business dinner with colleagues. Everything we had was DELICIOUS!! We started with s few appetizers including Brussel sprouts, truffle pizza, muscles, and beef carpaccio. All were delightful with great flavors!! Entrees were excellent. Presentation of the carbonara was very impressive. Desserts were amazing!! Carrot cake was absolutely off the charts!! The Gelato was creamy and really flavorful. The entire table gave Zia's two thumbs up!!!
Good was amazing and we had a great table. Patio is beautiful. I did score lower on the service because our waitress was extremely busy. She was a bartender and waitress. So it wasn't her fault but she was very busy. But everything was great.
Had a an extremely lovely visit with friends on the patio at Zia Social. Our waiter was very helpful in making selections. Food was perfectly done. Will definitely be back
We really liked Zia's. While I didn't reserve outside, the staff at Zia's was able to accommodate our request to sit outdoors. We started with cocktails which were creative and delicious. The kind of fresh, tasty drinks you'd have multiples of if we could hold our liquor better and they weren't $14 each. Don't get me wrong, that's not outrageous, but a touch high if you want more than one. We ordered an appetizer from the "To Share" section; a small salad which was more than enough for two, possibly three. For our mains, one person ordered a large salad with the shrimp supplement and the shrimp were huge, and perfectly grilled. Another had a pasta dish which was excellent, and the third diner had a chicken dish with pasta. Portions ranged from acceptable (the pasta) to generous (chicken). Two in the party also ordered a glass of wine each. Our check without tax and gratuity was $160. So not outrageous, but definitely not a budget meal. We'd definitely return.
Enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio. Such a nice experience. Service is always excellent.

The food was fantastic, especially the strawberry/rhubarb salad shareable! Our waiter couldn't have been any better! He was patient and made outstanding suggestions! We will be back!
We sat outside on the patio on a very warm evening, but enjoyed the large fan that made it quite pleasant. We took advantage of the tasty happy hour Old Fashions for only $8 each, and they were nicely crafted. We ordered butternut ravioli and veal limone, both delicious. But what stood out the most, was our personable waiter, Michael. Super efficient and accommodating (food allergies to contend with) all with a lovely smile and brilliant manner. We'll be back.
I have visited Zia's many times and have enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The food was good last night the service was fair and the noise level was very high. It was a disappointment since I was entertaining out of town company.
The food was good to great, but was disappointed that the service was a really slow. We have been there many times and will still go back. I'm sure it will be better next time.
Zia's is a Norwood Park neighborhood treasure! Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff! Great for date night, dinner with a group of couples, or mom's night out! Excellent menu selection and cocktails! Can't wait for it to warm up to hit the outdoor patio!!!
