“We passed Honey Heist while driving through Southern Illinois last week and made sure we came back whey they were open. This was our first experience with meade and we are now fans! Each one we tried was fragrant and full of flavor so it was hard to go home with only 2 bottles. The setting is as lovely as the folks who run it. We will definitely return!“

“We went to Wichmann Vineyard today for the first time and it was a very pleasant day to say the least. The woman who is the owner (unfortunately don’t get her name) was incredibly nice and very knowledgeable about their wines. The last time we were at this location it was a different winery and it wasn’t in the best physical condition. They have done a lot of work to make the building very bright and relaxing inside and out. We will definitely be going back and recommending to others!“

“Went on a Sunday afternoon. It had been rainy and little chilly so we were unable to enjoy the outdoors, but it looked inviting. We each got food, one had a soda, one had an old fashioned , and the other in our party had a flight. Food was delicious and great portion sizes. Flight was great. “I really love Pomona Winery. It's so simple and rustic. I love that it has cabin vibes with the porch and being surrounded by trees. I also love that their wines aren't made of grapes, but of apples and other fruit. It makes them stand out. And their apple wines taste so good. I think the option of being able to bring picnic food of your own is also great. Lastly, their staff are really sweet and hospitable.“

“My husband and I came in on a pretty busy day and didn’t expect the personal experience and super friendly staff we encountered while there. The owner was the absolute sweetest person! We had just ate before we came so didn’t try the food but the soup smelled amazing. We did 2 tasting flights and really loved everything we tried the star for me was the red sangria we had to take a bottle home. I had tried sangrias at every winery on the trail and that was by far the clear winner of the day and the only bottle of sangria I took home. I can’t wait to go back for another visit“
