I love this place. Food is amazing. The staff treats you like royalty. And location is great. I had the birria and tacos and it was amazing and like I cooked it and ate right off the stove it was so hot and great.

Normally, we do take out, but we decided to eat in the restaurant this time. We always LOVE the food, and the service was great! The atmosphere is lovely, decorated nicely. Steak Nachos Supreme is my boys' favorite

Great Mexican food! Flavorful and not as salty as so many other Mexican Restaurants in the area.
Service is quick and the staff is friendly.
We've been here several times, both for dine in and take out and we have not been disappointed with any of our orders.

It was Gerald and I first experience at El Chivo Birrieria & Taqueria at the Cresthill Illinois location.

We were able to easily find a table and the waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful making sure we always had what we needed during our stay.

I ordered a large refreshing not so sugary horchata as my beverage. My meal was scrumptious Caldo con Camarón 🍤 with a side of onion 🧅 jalapeños y cilantro 🌿 y lime 🍋‍🟩 with 2 peppers 🌶️ con tostadas. Delicious! 🤤 I really appreciate the fact that the shrimp 🍤 was deveined. Brought me back to helping Gaby with her babies birthday 🎉 party. 🎈 Good times 🥰 I notice the details in the work the chefs create.

Pa enjoyed his Birria tacos 🌮 with his Victoria and Ma had her chile relleno with her coffee.
Gerald had Juevos Rancheros 🍳 drenched in their salsa was devine.

Overall the experience was fast homey supporting a local restaurant business who also do catering. While we were waiting for our food, we noticed they were still busy with their take out and pick up orders. The food was good 👍 and highly recommend it if your looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a good Mexican meal. This is a great spot. You can always have the option to ask to raise their spice level on their dishes as well.

Vegetarian options: Yes and you can ask your waitress to customize your order to be vegan.

Always a good place that'll hit the spot if you need Tacos!, Burritos!, the avocado sauce!!!, you name it. This mom and pop shop is really good. I've catered from here to for a small party and it was the rave of the place. Ever need just a quick lunch or dinner call in your order and it's ready by the time you get there! This place is a must!

On a road trip with a friend, we stopped in here because they had birria tacos - so I can cross that off my bucket list. The waitress was amazing, came back to check that we were sure about our order, brought us more chips and water (it was a hot day) and gave us an assortment of salsas to try.

Best Sopes and Tortas in Chicago, hands down.
