Great little hole-in-the-wall shop behind the Food 4 Less in the back section of the strip mall. Prices are fair, food quality is great and the staff are friendly. Small place mainly for take-out, but a comfy atmosphere. I had the Al pastor tacos, and they were cooked wonderfully and tasted great, as well as the elote! It all looks, smells and tastes great. I highly recommend trying this place for some great tacos. Maps will send you to the wrong location though and I think that's criminal. Hopefully it will be resolved and this place will continue to thrive. I'll definitely be coming back when I get a craving for some authentic, delicious tacos!

Awesome little out of the way eatery. Located behind Food 4 Less grocery store. Plenty of parking. Small take out diner. A few small tables if you wish to eat in but really a take out establishment. Nothing fancy. Authentic and clean. Reasonably priced. This family run business has great food. We had tacos. Chicken was nicely cut not shredded which was very good. They even gave us a sample taco since we had not been there before. Try this authentic and tasty take out establishment. You will be pleasantly surprised. This is now our go to place for authentic Mexican food. Fabulous $2 taco Tuesday. Very welcoming owner/staff.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian taco, taco dinner, torta & rajas con crema.

Steak tacos were good . Rice and beans were not..the rice tasted burnt and beans had no taste. I did feel like I was annoying the girl at the front and she wanted me to hurry up and get out of her faceI also did like the fact that they had small kids by the front area especially around the food, I think that's so unsanitary. I believe its overpriced for what you get as what everyone else stated...Will I be back? Probably not.

Ive been there twice now but for the same meal. I had their torta de asada and i really like it. I can say its my fav torta in the Joliet area. And both times the cashiers were very nice. The food was quick and good. Highly recommend

Just had Tacos Before Vatos with my husband for the first time tonight. I had al pastor tacos ? and he had cecina tacos ? We also had chips and pico de gallo. EVERYTHING was delicious and fresh! If you haven’t tried them yet this is your sign ?

What a wonderful meal. For dinner tonight I had the taco dinner with the seasoned pork, and it was Fantastic. Tacos before Vatos is a great choice for dinner I will be back.

We just ordered from here, it was horrible and super expensive!! We ordered steak nachos, but it was all toppings and NO chips! How do you forget the chips when making nachos??! I also ordered the chicken taco dinner they were made with the wrong toppings, I asked for NO beans and it had beans and the rice was cold and hard. Ordered a side of guacamole it was not in the bag. Don't even waste your time eating here!!
