Took my daughter to lunch. Food was good, service a little slow, but only one waitress, Dianna (sp), was working. However, she was both nice and efficient. Atmosphere was neighborhood-like and unassuming. I'll certainly visit again.
Fiance and i ordered a taco salad and paddy melt (respectively) and both agreed they were the best taco salad and paddy melt we'd ever eaten. The food was fresh, delicious, and cooked perfect. The portions were generous and included all the fixings. And the price was super reasonable given the quality and quantity.They also have a surprisingly big selection of a menu to choose from - which is sometimes worrying given the old "jack of all trades, master of none" rule. Cretes Backyard always gives the impression that they truly care. My husband and I always order take out from here. The food comes packaged nicely and they're good sized portions for the prices. Every time we go, we find a new item on the menu that we like!
