I went to Kuchie's for the first time. The staff was friendly and helpful for this first timer. I sat at the bar so i could get the full experience. Ok, I'll admit that I do like to people watch. My drink was good, appetizer (cheese Curds) vary good. My Pattie Melt was made with a swirled bread and all the typical fix-n's all the flavors blended together well, tasty! Awesome place. We tried it for the first time last Sunday as a stop before heading to the air port. Food was amazing, bar tender was awesome. Drinks were great. They had quite a selection of specialty drinks, shots and milkshakes.
If you gotta drive through this part of Illinois, I'm sorry. but at least this place exists! it's exactly what you expect a dive bar on the river to be. No frills, no disappointment, great views and nice people.
