“I went to Kuchie's for the first time. The staff was friendly and helpful for this first timer. I sat at the bar so i could get the full experience. Ok, I'll admit that I do like to people watch. My drink was good, appetizer (cheese Curds) vary good. My Pattie Melt was made with a swirled bread and all the typical fix-n's all the flavors blended together well, tasty! All in all Kat the bartender was attentive and professional. The rest of the staff was top notch. 5 stars I will go back along with spreading the word of my good times.“

The gumbo ya ya is an absolute must have, jerk chicken is crazy good and the meatloaf is classically delish. Even their grilled cheese is fantastic! And if you even think about leaving before dessert, you’re out of your mind. We were trying to be polite and share among the group, but there was a “survival of the fittest” mentality bubbling up at the table and let’s just say we were lucky to leave as friends. “I went for lunch today and had the catfish, dinner salad, and Cole slaw. It was an actual channel catfish, cooked with the most perfect crust that was not at all grease on it, the salad had the freshest salad greens, slices if cucumber, and tomatoes, with delicious croutons. The cole slaw is made there, is creamy, and I fell in love with all of it. The owner is a perfectionist and the food is too quality! I have not found anyone else in Peoria that serves this quality of food. I will be there at least once a week! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!“

“Food is really good but they are very short staffed and the day we were there they couldn't handle the crowd without becoming rude. Waited 45 minutes for someone to take our order and when we asked if we could get someone to take it the service quality tanked even more. No one to take people's money, so people had to stand in line to get their checks. They do not combine their tips, keep that in mind.“

“Not only is their food amazing and fast. The staff is amazing. We went today (me my husband and youngest son) after my son had a procedure to get tubes in. They where super genuine about how he was doing. The gentleman who works there (I didn’t catch his name) was such a sweetheart. He came up to talk to us and ask about my son. He also gave him a stuffie. Which made my son smile for the first time after his procedure. THANK YOU FOR THAT! The little gesture was greatly appreciated!“

The Sazrac was very well crafted
Pull apart bread was decadent
Crab cake was large and well executed.
Trout was mild, moist, and delicious
NY Strip was cooked perfectly (recommend asking for it to not be sliced)
Potato Dauphinoise.....exceptional
Skipped desert this time around.

Wine list is small but with some quality choices.

“Obed & Isaac's is a micro brewery with a full restaurant; I stopped to try the beer but the food looked great. It is in a gorgeous historic Presbyterian church place looks awesome. I stopped near Halloween and they had it decorated with a darker theme but it really works with the dark wood rafters and arched ceilings. I am guessing it will be very popular on Halloween.

For beer on my stop they had an amber, a brown coffee ale, blonde ale, golden ale, and pale ale. Their beer was good. They also had Blind Pig's IPA and Dragons Milk's BA stout. They have a full bar for your non-beer friends.

The music on my stop went with the Halloween theme for the month. It's a big old church so it's got plenty of space. The service was friendly. I would definitely stop again.“

“We came in with a large bunch (kids included) on St Patrick's day. They had a stand going upstairs as well. The staff upstairs were great about letting us hide our strollers and wagons away behind them while we went down for drinks and food. Caitlyn and Bridgete along with the hostest apologized for wait multiple times and gave updates on the status of our food and drinks often. Food came out hot and as ordered.“
