NOTHING special about it. MUCH BETTER FOOD and atmosphere elsewhere. Disappointed.

I order catfish with crawfish etouffee but I got catfish with shrimp etouffee which I didn't order I get all the way home and this is not what I ordered I called and the woman says we're out so I gave u shrimp...you don't substitute someone's order without asking them i didn't order this if I would have known this was what I was going to get I would have ordered something else or went some where else I paid 55 dollars for two pieces of catfish and the shrimp etouffee was not even etouffee ..they ruin the experience I won't be back and I won't be recommending no one to go there spent to much money to be getting my meal substituted from what I originally ordered without asking me

Had Brunch this morning for the first time. Fried pork chops were my favorite. Fried chicken, biscuits and gravy……..Didn’t leave hungry that’s for sure! Will be back for sure!

Endless possibilities

The food is anything but their name. Went in on Sunday and was limited to the brunch buffet. Let me just say that serving INSTANT MASHED POTATOES should be a crime with a name "simply southern" biscuits were hard, gravy was watered down, sausage and bacon was burnt, French toast was uncooked! A nightmare of a first experience. I hate to say it but the quality of the buffet food will lead to me never eating there again. A huge disappointment ? did I mention INSTANT MASHED POTATOES ??

Wonderful, authentic Cajun food. Great addition to central Illinois. Wonderful staff make your dining experience top tier.

If you haven't been here yet I highly recommend this place it has great food the staff is extremely nice and it lives up to the name simply southern. From fried alligator to gumbo and jambalaya.

Just ate at their new location by Splash Cove. Really good true Louisiana style. Not hot, just full of flavor.

I give it 3 stars for the Alligator it had to much spices and breading, it took over the taste of it the alligator. I have had lots of alligator and so far this is the worst! It looks good but the spices ruined it

food is great. staff very nice

Wasn't anything impressive and of their limitedly offered menu for the Sunday Brunch they didn't have all of what they offered in their post. Was no where near worth what they charge.

Walked in and was told just a heads up we are out of burgers and cat fish. Now mind you this was 1:30 on a Friday afternoon. Menu board had a variety of options that was on the buffet, was told no all they had was other variables of fish, one piece of meatloaf that looked like it had been there all day, dried up barbeque and 1 rock hard bun. Potatoes were cold, baked beans were decent and slaw was decent. Worst food ever, service not that great either.

Gumbo, Cajun horseshoe, the Cajun breakfast skillet, Italian beef and southern fried chicken are excellent.

The food is good, small selection on the menu and not much authentic Cajun food to choose from owner is friendly but our waitresses both visits were not friendly and didn't seem enthusiastic to be working
