Lived in dekalb for a number of years while going to college and Fushi Yami was a great place for friends to get together. We still come here while passing through, even if it's a drive from 39.

Sushi has never had a bellow god taste and their hibachi is pretty good too. It's a quick stop, college town, sushi place and it still surpasses expectations, even after ~15? years.

Fushi Yami is one of those spots that doesn’t try too hard—and that’s exactly why it works. Tucked off Lincoln Highway, it’s got a no-frills vibe, but the food speaks for itself. The hibachi is consistently solid—steak and shrimp are my go-to—and the sushi rolls hit the sweet spot between fresh and flavorful. The Crazy Roll? Wild in the best way.

I usually love this place, but the last 2 times it was alright not great, my foods came kinda unappealing looking. my sushi came kinda watery and I did get kinda stomach sick this last time, maybe new workers, but usually it's amazing even the way everything looks it's usually great.
