Starbucks in Dekalb

“The journey with the store is a roller coaster ride. I usually order my matcha green tea venti iced latte from here. Gone through a lot of modifications to make sure i taste it right. Sometimes it is extra vanilla syrup some time extra matcha.
Now my go to order is 6 scoops of matcha and 4 pumps vanilla syrup and 4 pumps of classic syrup. Some times it doesnt taste the same.
Some times it tastes exactly the same.
I always raise a complaint if it doesn’t taste right. I know know i might seem like a karen but let me tell you the store manager is a sweet heart. She always tried to understand what was wrong with the drink. She went a level ahead and contacted me when i visited the store to pick up my order.I love that she cares about my matcha.
No forgetting Faith, she is the one continuously making my drinks she always writes some beautiful quotes on the cup which always brings smile to my face.
I have 1 other girl and 1 guy whose name I didn’t get to remember but they are very helpful too.

All over I would say, this is one of the most comfortable place I visit and very Saturday. Sometimes in the week too.
I really appreciate for taking care of my order.
Matcha is pricey i wish it was better priced so I can have it everyday 😂.

“I visited this location on 8.20.25 and ordered the White Chocolate Mocha with almond milk, no whip, hot. (Forgive me for not leaving a review sooner.)

Anyway, the drink was perfect, and service was great! The young lady at the window, with the shorter hair, with blondish streaks / highlights, and bright white teeth and beautiful smile…

her Energy and service was great. I didn’t get her name, but I wanted to give her a shoutout for her amazing service and great Energy. Thank you.

Also, I appreciate the hot drink NOT tasting like the film of the cup. Whenever I’m in town, this is the ONLY Starbucks I visit.

My drinks from here always taste like they’ve always had, (before many Starbucks locations started using cheaper cup providers, or the cup providers started using cheaper materials, or whatever is causing hot drinks from many Starbucks locations, to taste like the “film” that “coats” the inside of the cups.)

Whoever is your cup provider, at this location, please keep using them, especially for the hot drinks.

Anyway, thank you, to the young lady at the window for great service, and this location, for maintaining the “original tastes” of the only drinks I can get from Starbucks, due to my stomach sensitivities.

“A cozy little Starbucks nestled in the first floor/basement of the newly renovated Holmes Student Center. Courteous and fast service that delivers aromatic and delicious coffee, as always. Glad there's yet another venue for students to socialize or study while getting caffeinated. Nice diversion from the office when working here con campus as well.“
