Barnaby's of Des Plaines

We love Barnaby’s and we’re sad when the one near us closed. Looked for another and found this one a short distance away. It feels like a medieval tavern on the inside. They have cheap pizza that’s better than average and a fun relaxed family atmosphere. Many of their other dishes have been good at the past location, this one appeared to be much the same. Can’t wait to go back sometime.

UPDATE: Just saw on a different website that Barnaby’s in Des Plaines will be opening September 2, 2022! Hope that is true!I tried the Arlington Heights and Northbook locations, and although the pizza was okay, it did not taste the same as the Des Plaines location. Barnaby’s in Des Plaines has/had the BEST TASTING PIZZA! I give it 5 stars! I haven’t tried the Niles location, but I was told that the pizza isn’t the same. Can’t a reporter from The Des Plaines Journal do some “investigative reporting”, find out whether the owner plans to re-open or not, and then publish the results in the paper? I know that many, many people would like it to re-open, so we can once again enjoy our most favorite pizza ever!

I like the inside, it's so lovely & vintage.The pizza crust is unique & delicious.So friendly, great service, definitely a favorite.And sucks they are closed! I crave their unique crust.

This location has been closed since early 2020 with no explanation. It would be great if someone from within the business could explain what happened. This was the BEST location (Niles supposedly is good but the Arlington Heights and Northbrook locations stink).

very distinct taste and crust! i love barnaby's its my favorite for hand tossed. if you have not tried them o boy are you missing out!

Please I hope you open back up! The other ones just don’t make the pizza the same! This has been a childhood favorite of mine. Many family memories here! If you need help, because of this virus, BarStool Sports is assisting businesses like this. Reach out! Lord I pray you open back up again soon!!! Sad sight seeing an empty lot every time I drive by.

have been coming to this location since i was a child. my favorite pizza and everyone working there has always been so nice. can't wait until it opens back up.

The atmosphere is cozy. They also have some of the best pizzas around! Definitely check this place out. You’ll be a regular in no time!

This place is worth trying. They serve big portions for convenient rates. Consistently well organized and with fantastic ambience. Highly recommended.
