It's really sad how this old favorite or mine, has gone way downhill. I understand that prices have increased immensely, but not only have they increased prices unbelievably, but the portions have DECREASED! I also understood when they added the so called "COVID" fee, but, they kept on charging it when most other places had stopped. I watched the staff clean up tables and booths with the COVID fee and without. It was just the same procedure. I'm really disappointed. This was my go to place for years and years. I've brought friends, referred people to dine there, I'm sad to say no longer. I used to visit once a week at least. The big change isn't acceptable.

Horrible experience do not go to this place. I found a label still on the vegetables in my food I returned the food not having the time to wait for a replacement. The least they could have done was refund the cost of the item, but instead the owner actually had the audacity to say "oh it's just a label it's edible, it's not big deal you could have eaten it". The owner was extremely rude and impossible to talk to and should not be running a restaurant to begin with.

Their gentleman’s spud was fantastic. A coating of crunchy shredded hash browns covers the omelet, giving it a distinctive look. The omelet has freshly cut onions, green peppers, and mushrooms along with well-seasoned steak. There is flavorful, gooey cheese in every bite because the cheese is well distributed.

Can only give 2 stars. Was looking for a nice place to have Sunday breakfast and this place popped up. Seems like a nice place with good food but I walked in and while I understand Sunday mornings are busy at any restaurant, I waited for nearly 10 minutes with no acknowledgement I was there nor to put me on a waiting list. No host to take care of guests coming in or anything. I would’ve waited had someone been proactive in tending to the guests in the front door. Unclear if the cashier doubled as the host. I had no choice but to walk out. I want to try this place but for now, this wasn’t a great experience and one I wasn’t expecting from all the rave reviews.

Gail's Carriage Inn proved to be a pleasant breakfast spot during our stay in a Chicago suburb. I opted for a loaded omelet, which was satisfactory - not the finest, but certainly not the worst. Choosing cottage cheese instead of hash browns was no issue, and the accommodating staff made the experience enjoyable. The extensive breakfast menu provided a variety of options, which was a positive aspect. If I find myself in the area again, I would definitely consider revisiting Gail's Carriage Inn.

This place is a gem! My Dad & I go here frequently. The menu has a huge selection. They give you alot of food for the money. Everything is delicious, I have yet to have anything bad. Food is fresh & cooked perfectly. Staff is very friendly & hard working. Gail is usually there each time & is a very nice person. I love the mom & pop atmosphere, it reminds me of places we'd stop back when I was a kid. Very comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend giving this place a try, you won't leave disappointed. 5 stars in every category but I'd give them 10 if it were an option.Parking: Lots of parking, only issue is pot holes but if you watch you'll be fine. Ample parking & close to door. There are a few spots right next to door for those with disabilities.
