After spending 40 minutes on yelp trying to figure out where to get a late dinner, Los Chapines Tortilleria piqued my interest. While it was a risk to try a new eatery 20 minutes before they closed, I took the chance, called them and asked if it was okay to order, the friendly voice on the other end said "of course, we don't close until 9:30". After getting a few questions answered and learning the difference between a standard tamale and a Guatemalan tamale, I dashed over to pickup my food. After I chatted with the gentleman for a few minutes about how long they'd been open (since 2020) and how business was going (slowly improving) I headed home with my surprisingly heavy, steaming, well packaged order. I opened the bags to some of the tastiest pastor tacos I've ever had. Tender, flavorful, fresh and the green and red sauce, though a little thin, complemented the juicy meat perfectly. The tamale, while flavorful and beautiful wrapped in the banana leaf, was not my favorite texturally. The portion size was like 2-3 regular tamales. So, pretty hefty. Can't wait to head back and try more food. Price was very reasonable, excellent service and food was hot and fresh, even though I ordered right before closing, which is something that I'm not trying to make a habit. Anyway, please go here, order the pastor tacos and thank me later!!

At 730 am there isn't a better option in the area. They have full menu at breakfast. Everything I've had here has been delicious, I really like the shuco chapines and the dobladas de queso. The garnaches are also great. Get a bottle of Guatemalan hot sauce on your way out, you'll be glad you did. Great food, great value, great service, def my favorite place in town after work at 730a.Went back again and it was still amazing.

Only the best taco El Pastor I ever had in my life. The Carne Asada burrito was excellent too except they cut it in half, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. But I can forgive them on that.

Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble.I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.

This might be a small Place.. But it is Authentic.. and yes there are maybe a few staff working.. but they do a great job in trying to satisfy all customers. All customers can not be pleased accordingly. I have enjoyed coming here since opening.. they have grown and the menu has changed some.. but for a good reason. I introduced my wife to the restaurant and she is hard to satisfy… I knew by having her approval this was a winner.. it is a combination of Guatemalan and Mexican.. for me I appreciate authentic food. Now this establishment is the one and only.. the atmosphere is amazing.. brings back memories for my wife who is from Mexico..I will say to the staff, keep up the great work!!
