I always try to be tolerant in all cases in the service, I am never rude, so the situation in this restaurant was like this. There was a reservation, we were 5 minutes late, approaching the host, she said wait, we say we are always waiting, we come for a reservation, to which she replied, - you should be Everyone, to seat! And than she said - you were late, you should have been on time! and if we like food, wait, if no- then leave! And her last words were - this is business! what kind of service is this??? she doesn't know how to communicate with customer?? we were frustrated. will never come again... this is so upset about service. The host is a "face" of restaurant.

The space itself looks nice and the outdoor patio is a good spot to hang with friends. The meals are a bit on the the expensive side and nothing spectacular. I prefer Mykonos in the area. The service is not super friendly, but I don't think they're aiming for that. They get the food to you and leave you alone. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Not sure what happened to this place, but it used to be so much better than it currently is. I've never had worse quality chicken. I was actually blown away by how bad it was. Really disappointing because the dine-in experience here was really great 5 years ago.

We dined at Plateia for the first time tonight. The food is absolutely fantastic. We had the feta and honey appetizer along with tzatziki and fresh warm pita. For our main course, I had the yogurt chicken and oven potatoes which were delicious. My husband had the pastitcio which he enjoyed. Service was great, too! By the way, while waiting did our table, we observed a screaming woman who was upset that she had not been seated yet. She was incredibly rude to the hostesses and left in a huff. She threatened to leave nasty reviews on Yelp, calling the restaurant "trash". Make no mistake... she was the trashy one. If she leaves a review here, ignore it!

Absolutely fabulous! This place is SO good - my new favorite Greek place in Chicagoland! We were a group of 7 friends and Anel took such good care of us. We tried so many dishes and had it served family style - which I highly recommend doing here! No reservations- go early and hungry - you will not be disappointed!
