If you know the kebabpcheta from the Georgy Kirkov Market in Sofia (the best ones) the ones from Sofia Grill in Des Plains are the closest thing. The kufte is also very good and the Shopska Salad for the side is the best (I am a Shop from the Shope region myself).

Minor issues with the fries being over cooked and the cabbage salad was not entirely to my liking, but that’s a personal taste.

Other than that, I will be coming back for my favorite...

Great traditional bulgarian recipes, food is freshly cooked daily and it's always a delight to eat here. I've been a customer here for more than 10 years now and I'm glad the new owner kept the business model and continued Nick's legacy.

Someone below said that: "$20 for a meal was too much for a place like this".
"Places like this" are actually vital for the bulgarian comunity, but if you don't appreciate...
