Food A Fare is a great little hidden gem in East Alton!!! I happened upon this place by chance as I like to change up my eating habits every now and then at local restaurants and out of the way spots. My buddy and I were getting rather tired of eating at the same place so I decided to search around and this place came up in my searches for local eating. I had never seen a local eatery place with a 4.9 review I thought it was a misprint. So I decided to bite the proverbial bullet...

We were so excited to try this because of all the great reviews but we were pretty disappointed with our food..I ordered an “Italian” Salad and hubby got the meatloaf..His meatloaf tasted like it didn’t have any seasoning on it and my salad was lettuce, parmigian cheese(like it came out of a can), and Italian dressing(which does not make it an Italian salad)The croutons were so over baked I couldn’t even chew them..and they also had no flavor whatsoever..I’ll stick with...
