I love this place. It is the kind of bar that still has plenty of personality. The footlongs are the thing here and you can enjoy one with a bottle of Potosi or throw back to a Hamm's. Lots of history and memories. You may have to wait a bit for service depending on how many staff they have on deck. A gem!

Nothing beats the original footlong chili dog. Had my first one as a kid in the early 60's on the family Sunday road trip to Illinois (Iowa was dry at the time). Anytime I'm back in the area, need to stop in for one, or maybe two.
