“The best sandwiches period. We’ve been eating at The Gramophone just shy of a decade and we’ll never stop. Great food, people, music, and vibes! Dropped right in the middle of The Grove, already arguable the most fun neighborhood in the Lou. Hang on the patio or enjoy the bar. Play some games or enjoy a local musical artist. Get The Jive, Mississippi Nights Club, or the Mac and Cheese. You can’t go wrong. BRB, I’m literally heading to The Gramophone right now.“

“Fabulous food. So glad they have re-opened“
“Great little neighborhood bar I’ve been frequenting for years. $3 apple pie shots are a beloved staple here. They have pizzas and hotdogs(?) but you can also order food from the IMO’s right across the street, too! One pool table which is usually busy. Super cute patio & free popcorn. Newest best thing?! Twisted Tea on draft babyyy, served w ice and a lemon wedge, I love it.“
“We’re regulars, but last night celebrated our wedding after party at Hummel’s. Dawn made sure we had some of our favorite beer and that she’d stocked up on what everyone would want. She started campfires, helped make our sparkler entrance happen, and even surprised us with fireworks. This is the kind of bar you trust with this special of a day.“

“My absolutely favorite bar to go to. The bartenders are amazing….Narada is always on point with his fabulousness and he truly makes the best cocktails.
You’ll never leave this place feeling like you didn’t just have an amazing night. Between the ambience when you first walk in; the fireside patio; pleasant crowd; friendliest bartenders; music and dancing, it’s just the best time. All the heart emojis. ❤️“

“I've been coming to this eclectic, artistic, ever-changing bar for years. I do miss the Rastafarian cooks from the old days in the late '80s. It is a mandatory stop for a drink or three whenever out of towners want to do something a little" different ".
From the first floor to the upstairs to the various patio areas there is something interesting and wonderful around every
corner. Just do it !“

“Got the hot wings to go . They were some of the best wings I’ve ever had. I live in Lake St Louis , was taken there by a friend, so glad she did. Can’t wait to go there and sit and have a few Stags , which is my favorite. Looking forward to order other items from the menu. The day I was there , the bartender and patrons were very friendly. See ya soon ???“

“I've been visiting Bar PM for years. They have been consistently great owners who keep a safe and open atmosphere for every walk of life.
All their bartenders and staff are always nice, non-judgey and remember almost everyone.
The other bar patrons are welcoming. There is a very nice dance floor next door past their expansive patio which includes another full service bar. This place gets packed on Saturday night. Take an Uber imo.
Parking: Parking on weekends can be tricky“

“Friendly staff, but slow. A lot of their food looks good but I've only had the pizza, which I always find a little disappointing (always a burnt edge and just not something to write home about). The highlight is the atmosphere and the great live jazz music. Definitely a community spot with lots of regulars.“
“Bikers get me, and this is the quintessential biker bar of Dutch Hollow (aka The Hollar). Ice cold drinks on the cheap! Live music. Open mic night. And the perfect country porch for sitting with new friends and solving the problems of the world.“
“Very good selection of beers with knowledgeable staff in a location that was convenient but not in the best neighborhood. Good neighborhood adjacent maybe. Definitely worth a daytime visit. Maybe nighttime if you're feeling adventurous.“

“I love the sign they have on the wall when you first walk in saying “the whole world is short staffed, please be kind to the people that showed up today”. Be warned if you’re looking for a place to eat this is not it. A couple small bar food items that are being cooked in an air fryer in the back is your only option. This is the place to drink beer though! The staff was friendly and the selection of drinks was pretty good. Also affordable here witch makes it a little nicer.“
“Great atmosphere, AMAZING BARTENDERS,Affordable, Great Music and Friends.“

“I have always wanted to stop in this place. I drive by it all the time finally about three weeks ago me and a group of my friends stopped in and we had a really good time. I own a bar as well on South Broadway. This is a nice little getaway place for me. Haven’t been there in a couple weeks, but I’m definitely coming back.“

“I went to Lit at Molly's where they have holiday drinks and Xmas decor. It looked awesome. All the drinks are $14 and I didn't like one and they wouldn't let me swap it or anything. It was $11 p/p to get in, so I'm not sure why they couldn't swap a drink. Id taken 1 sip. I clearly didn't like it. Oh well, nice otherwise.“

“I've been going here for years, and the food is low-key underrated. I had the beef Philly for the first time, and it was dang good! I'd had the chicken Philly before, which is great too, but the bartender recommended trying the beef, and it was a good call! Get you a side of cheese sauce with the fries, and oh, it is in the game!“

“Great place for music on the weekends. My wife and I love coming here for wings and karaoke on thursdays! Their wings are our favorite, but their pizzas are just as good. They're also one of the few bars we've found that have a Sunday brunch buffet!“

“I've heard Blackthorn was the place to go in St. Louis for deep dish pizza. I was not misled! I went for dinner with my cousin and his wife. We got a 16" deep dish with pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers. It was phenomenal! The cheese pull on this thing was ridiculous, so cheesy! Two pieces ko'd me. The crust was perfect! Crispy on the bottom and soft and fluffy directly under the toppings. Perfect for a fork and knife. I'm a huge fan of deep dish pizza, and this will be my go to from now on! Highly recommend!“
“We were there for a Granite City High School band trivia night and the building was, clean and in good repair. The bar area offered billiards, and a full service bar. They don’t offer a full service kitchen. We were mainly in the main hall area for the trivia night. We were allowed to bring snacks, food, drinks in for the trivia night event. If I was in need of a hall for an event I would use them if the opportunity was there.“
“they are nice people kathy gotta love her they have a dj karaoke drinks its fun no cover charge what more could you ask for GO.....KAT your the best“

“Chicagoan reviewing. Value was on the mark, big open bar area as well as an enormous dining room that welcomed kids when we were there. We only had the fish and chips but I can't recommend them highly enough ... with a caveat. The cod was incredibly fresh, best I've had in ages and not at all greasy. The fries were traditional in the American style but well executed. The only caveat, and perhaps this is a St. Louis thing, the breading wasn't like some beer batter, thick crust things but more like it had been buried in seasoned breadcrumbs. Not a style in used to but a style I devoured. Casual but recommended.“

“I’m going to give this place four stars only because the food has went down from its glory time. I’ll chuck that out too Covid. I paid $15 for chicken 7 wings… Very small actually, possibly switched chicken . Not sure. Now the review of the club:If you’re visiting St. Louis and want a good night out, venture about 6 minutes across the bridge. This club caters to a 30 and up mature black crowd. It has its moments of being in East St. Louis, but it’s a good spot to have a good time. It’s classic old school vibes with small chairs and tables with mirrors across the walls. Good priced cocktails and stays open until about 4 am.“
