We went out to Heron Cove for our 41st Anniversary. Our daughter recommended the restaurant. I have eaten in restaurants around Europe and the US while serving in the military. This restaurant hands down beats some of the best places in Europe and the US. I highly recommend if your around Effingham Illinois that you stop in for a very fine meal and great service as well.
Excellent crawfish and shrimp Po boy. The slaw and sauce on it are good details and they put plenty of both shrimp and crawfish into the sandwich. Not a huge selection on the menu but what I had was good.

Did we find something here!!!! Sofrito Linguine and Putan Noodle was to die for. Great bourbon selection. Right on the dock with upscale food and service. New favorite in Effingham!Kid-friendliness: Hamburgers or shrimp or upscale to crawfish and salmon.
