This place is a favorite of ours for many years when we lived nearby. Visiting again while in town after 3 years and didn’t skip a beat. Wish I would have talked to Frank (owner) earlier because he had 14 different tomatoes from his garden on menu this evening.
2nd visit not as great as 1st - shrimp scampi was delightful; however, my eggplant parmigiana was too thick (and so they became grease sponges). Good flavor on breading and marinara but that cut was double what it should have been. Not sure we'll make the drive again. No, I didn't send it back as 3 others were dining (so I'd be watching them eat while my replacement dish was being prepared).
I met my parents here the other day as we both traveled some distance to meet up. This restaurant was absolutely wonderful atmosphere, small & quiet when we were there. I believe we had their lunch menu, and I ordered the Capellini pasta, my dad got Eggplant Parmesan, and my mom got the Italian Beef. Unfortunately I would suggest the entire staff of the restaurant needs to eat that same sandwich my mom ordered. She said it was dry & had no flavor, as if they boiled the...
