We LOVE Don Angels!!! The weekends are crazy packed so we like to go during the week. My fav is the tacos pirata de chicharron prensado. My boys like their taco pirata de asada. They have so many great options to choose from.
I’ll start by saying that I read the reviews and was concerned about the service but still decided to go. Unfortunately, I experienced a couple of the things people mentioned, slow service and items forgotten. I did have to go up and request my item after waiting. The food wasn’t remarkable, which means I won’t be returning. And it’s too bad because I don’t often find restaurants that service gorditas and burritos northern style.
This is one of my favorite places to bring our office's out of town guests for lunch. Handmade to order, their Gorditas are delicious and authentic. They taste a lot like the gorditas I had on the side of the road while traveling through Durango, MX. They have over a dozen gordita filling options to choose from. My favorites are the calabaza and the poblanos y queso which both happen to be vegetarian. I'm not a vegetarian but these are so delicious I go for them almost...
