I've been coming to Pastigel for a couple of years now. It's nice to have a bakery right in downtown Elgin. We noticed that they opened up a Mexican/Columbian restaurant in the downstairs area, a change that I'm really happy with. The area is comfortable and has a relaxing vibe. The food is good and, like always, the staff are welcoming and pleasant. I'd love to see this little restaurant grow into something more!
I was born and raised in the city of Chicago and grew up with panaderías (bakeries) on every block. Now that I live in the rural/suburbs of Chicago it's hard to find a truly delicious concha! Look no further, Pastigel is here to save the day! Fresh and soft and so tasty. Happy I found this gem.

First time ..as soon as i walk it felt a good vibe clean and a good variety of fresh bread .. i had a bite as soon as i walk out of the store and was not desapointed taste was amazingly good!
