100 South Chop House and Grill

I recently hosted a birthday party at 100 South for a group of about 40 people. I must say we had a 5-STAR Experience.
First - Dominick was my contact from the start of the process and his attentiveness, responsiveness, and service was second to none. He showed me the private party space that they have which was perfect for our occasion. Dominick walked me through the menu options and drink options and offered a great selection and variety at a fair price.

Then on the day of the event he ensured that all went smoothly throughout the evening. The food and drink was great and enjoyed by all - they were even able to accommodate some special dietary needs for our group. We had two dedicated servers (Nick and Frank) and they hussled all night to make sure all of our guests had everything they needed.

Top shelf experience

Calamari was excellent , New York strip steak was good a lil tough , built my own pasta bow tie pasta with Italian sausage , very good 👍🏽 service was excellent vibes were good 👍🏽

I really enjoyed my meal here! I came in right before close, around 8:30. I felt pretty bad coming in so close to closing time, but I was really craving some good fish and chips! Even though I came in last second, (literally the only customer there for the rest of the night) but they welcomed me with open arms. Amazing service and amazing food!

We had an incredible time at 100 South Chop House and Grill. We initially just stopped in to look at the menu, but the atmosphere was so infectious we had to stay. The people at the bar and surrounding tables were so friendly and talkative, giving us suggestions and making us feel like we were in our own private club.

Our server, Nicolette, was phenomenal—it felt like we had been friends for years. The level of hospitality here is truly special.

Food Highlights:

Spicy Calamari: Absolutely stellar and a must-order.

Cavatelli Pasta: A delicious, simple dish with vodka sauce, peas, mushrooms, and whipped ricotta.

Sea Bass: While the experience was a 10/10, the sea bass was more of a 6/10 for us this time.

Overall, the welcoming vibe and amazing service made this one of the most memorable nights out we’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back!

Food is extremely mediocre with cheap packaging. How they call themselves “upscale” on their website is questionable…. This is pizza parlor quality, at best. Don’t label yourself as an upscale restaurant unless you’re actually willing to pay for upscale ingredients and packaging. Maybe get some ideas from capital grille before labeling yourself as upscale…. I would not have rated this so poorly had I not been expecting upscale steakhouse quality food.

Lots of townies, very homey. Great food for very competitive prices. Portion sizes are excellent. Staff are all enthusiastic and kind. One of our fave places in elmhurst.

This restaurant was meh. Appetizers were fine. Entrees were good for non-vegetarians. Vegetarian dishes were poor. There was pasta but nothing special. Kinda like the make your own option at Olive Garden. My pasta was doughie and under cooked. The sauce was OK... nothing I couldn't have made at home.

Atmosphere was cool. Service was ok. Had to remind the waitress several times for cutlery and my side salad. Not a big deal but also...

I got the filet trio, it was good but the parmesean was not good, and the horseradish was not good either. Horseradish for steak should be a little zesty and have a wet consistency not a granular one. The blue cheese was very good. Al l in all our meal and experience was good, just fix the trio toppers!

The food was good, the bus boys were outstanding constantly refilling water and clearing plates. Our server on the other hand was aweful! He failed to check in with us on a regular basis, never even asked how our meal was, ordered desert never gave us plates or forks to eat it with. For the amount of money you’re spending on dinner there I would have expected better.

We are celebrating a birthday and we had a fantastic time. The food was great we love this place more than some of the big high end chain steak restaurants. Our server Ricardo was fantastic he gave us amazing recommendations and incredibly friendly service throughout the night. Definitely will be coming back.
