After having a fire at our home in Wheaton, we found temporary housing in Elmhurst. We noticed this restaurant & decided to try it. Reviews on Yelp were good. Great service, food and atmosphere. We noticed many Hispanics there, indicating to us that it is an excellent restaurant. Loved the music that accompanied our meal. It took me back to my high school trip to Mexico in 1967. I ordered the steak fajitas for my husband and the shrimp steak and chicken meal for me. Oh my gosh what a delight I wanted to eat at home have it there when he got home? It was enough for four people. I am so delighted that meal was delicious. My husband was a static. I recommend this place A1 cooking. Kudos to the chef. Kudos to the portions. Thanks amigos, I will order again
As being there for the first time. I was amazed by the friendly attentive staff they have. I was hesitant to try their margaritas as I am not a margarita person. I was totally caught off by surprise! As I watched the bartender carefully prepare this mix, I was curious! I really recommend their margaritas, not sweet or sour as other places but enough to enjoy the flavor! My favorite new place for margaritas and a shout out to Oscar for being so attentive and friendly!

Amigas Restaurant II offers a delightful dining experience with a fun atmosphere and a fun menu. The steak fajitas and shrimp steak and chicken meal stand out, serving generous portions. The tacos are especially popular, particularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The restaurant has a large variety of Mexican and Cuban food. Servers are quick, providing outstanding customer service. However, it can get busy, so a little patience may be required for a wait, but it is worth the wait. Everything tastes fresh and delicious, including the excellent skirt steak tacos, $1.50 tacos, and the delicious burrito. The enchiladas suizas dinner is excellent. Their special waters, like Jamaica, are highly recommended, and free chips and salsa add to the experience. The restaurant is kid-friendly, with a welcoming atmosphere for families, and it has a huge parking lot with free parking. On some nights, there is a D.J. and a dance floor where people dance.
