Red Bottle Bar & Cocktail Lounge

The Approach:

I drove right by it because there nothing fancy making it stand out so it got lost among the other businesses that's sandwiching it. Parking was a bit confusing and even as I type this, I'm not sure I won't walk out to a ticket on my windshield.

In order to get to the door, I had to walk passed a crowd of patrons and I immediately knew that I wasn't in a diverse spot. I sucked it up, held my head high and trekked to the door.

The Experience:
Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by three very pleasant ladies which helped ease my apprehension. To my surprise, I was seated immediately...even though the restaurant was very full...and I'm sure that I was solo made it easier to accommodate me.

The drink menu was very unique; I only recognized about half of the cocktails. I ordered the Ararat and Boulevardier which isn't bad...but it tastes like it has soursop bitters in there surrounded by honey and peanut butter. Even though it's not my cup of tea, it is definitely a generous pour so five stars there!

I started with the crab cakes as the appetizer. The bread came while I waited...which was bread...nothing special. As the plate of cakes came, I eyed 4 small (half an ice cream scoop) crab cake balls surrounded by a avocado ranch sauce and lettuce. After my portion disappointment wore off, I seasoned my lettuce and dug in. Verdict: THE ABSOLUTE BEST CRAB CAKES I'VE EVER TASTED! What's more, I got full off them thangs!

Next was the entree: Chicken Lemone with a side of Italian sausage. The chicken looked more like blackened tilapia in some type of broth that was kinda like soup in a plate. The chicken was a little overcooked but flavor was excellent so I didn't mind it. The potatoes were sliced thick (1/2 inch) but were still very soft throughout.

Now the sausage...THE SAUSAGE WAS WE'RE IT'S AT! If you're a first timer, like me...I strongly suggest ordering a side of sausage with your entré...even if you order the sausage entré. It was tender, season immaculately and also drown in a soup with green and red peppers.

Long story short...5/5...once you make it into the building.

Edit: I ate more of the meal and the chicken just may win over the unbeatable sausage...and the drink smoothed out as the ice melted. I now can taste the citrus bitter coming from the orange peel that was hiding under my large ice cube ball.

Katya provided an amazing experience! She was very friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the whole visit. She made sure everything was perfect and always checked if we needed anything. The service was fast, the atmosphere felt welcoming, and her positive attitude really made the evening better. Definitely one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend asking for Katya if you visit!
