A solid neighborhood restaurant, food can be good but also mediocre. Inconsistent. Service was slow last week although we were among 6 patrons in the place. They only take cash which is an inconvenience.

Cross Rhodes is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Maria and Manager John and Tony is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing Greek chicken. Must come back. 10/10.

I used to love going here for their Gyros platters, but recently, the last few visits, the food was not as good as it used to be, the order takers are not getting orders correctly, and maybe there's been a staff change, but, I've tried giving the chances, now..I'm going to just remember them for what they ONCE WERE!

Long my favorite restaurant in Evanston. Never fails. Completely comfortable. Food is straightforward, but somehow so special. I dream of the Greek Chicken, marinated steak, THE FRIES and always get a Greek salad. It always tastes like someone's grandma made it. Can't wait to go back.

It has the absolute best food! In the 30+ years we’ve been going for dinner, we’ve never had a bad meal! The Athenian chicken and kabobs are outstanding, along with the Greek fries. Maria, the owner is wonderful! And very accommodating! Definitely need to go here more often! A family favorite for sure!

It was about time we made this visit. My family and I were so happily surprised how awesome the food and service were. This took care of my immediate Greek craving and will definitely be back for more. The owner overheard my comments that he came over with a bowl of olives ? to take care of that desire. just great food and service. Food so great that I couldn't take the time to post pics.

I’ve been coming here for the last 20 years. I’ve loved this restaurant for so long and it was always my go-to for a delicious and affordable steak dinner but the prices are becoming outrageous. I purchased the steak dinner this week and it’s now $40 - every time I go the price has gone up. Only eight years ago it was around $20. I’m sad to say goodbye to one of my Evanston staples.
