Jason and Ryan, at the bar, do so much to make a newcomer (like ourselves) feel like we've been here a hundred times. Recently transplanted, it's refreshing to know that there is the kind of service and hospitality that makes a strange face feel like we've been regulars for years. That's how you keep and grow your clientele. The place could not know that I am a Food and Beverage Director on Cruise Ships. So the hug at the end of service was not only appreciated, but truly heartfelt. Thank you!

This place is ok. I come here only because my daughter loves the firetrucks to play. The bloody mary I had today tasted odd, a weird mix. The Thai chicken wraps were pretty good. Thr pretzel was overloaded in salt. They also add a surcharge for credit card users but they sneak it into the bill. Really odd because if you paid cash they would have to reprint another bill without the surcharge?

I've lived less than 2 miles from here for five years and I never got around to trying it until this week! I was exhausted from work and really wanted a veggie burger, so I ordered delivery from here. I got a veggie burger and bacon cheeseburger and they came hot and everything tasted great and fresh. It comes with a side, I got fries and tater tots and enjoyed both. I would probably get the tater tots again next time. It was a little pricey but the food was good quality so I can't really complain!

This is hospitality at its best!...I made a Friday night dinner reservation for 2 on our way to a concert, and noted that we need to be out in time to attend. Rolled in a few minutes late and Delilah greeted us and confirmed the note on the reservation; sat us promptly and offered drinks to get things started! Our server, Ana B., came over to take over having gotten our request to rush, but enjoy the evening. Offering to get our salad "out 1st"... and how! Drinks and appetizer on the table in 5 minutes. We were able to ensure we were able to arrive on time to attend our event and everything was quick, not rushed. Excellent attention to detail. More than I could have hoped to celebrate the evening!

The ambiance is very cool but the food is not good. It's sub-par bar food. We had a large party and I got to try many dishes, all of them were simply ok. At no point did I say "wow, this is really good." They overcook the burgers, the steak sandwich was tough, the pasta was tasteless. But, if you want to hang out, eat wings, drink a beer and watch a game, it's a good place for that. Just go some place else for dinner.

Nice drinks and great comfort food menu!

Friendly staff. We were there for the Bulls game and they made sure we were able to view it from our seats. The food was good, but you could tell our plates sat in the expo window a little too long. I had to get a side of buffalo sauce to add to my buffalo sandwich because it was a little dried out. After that, it was very good!

The service was great. Food was poor. Ordered burger (no temp asked) and it was very very rare. Sent it back asking for med well, and the center was still very pink and raw looking. Again, service was good. The food was inconsistent. Some fries seasoned, some not.

This has always been a go to for us and have eaten there and carried out for many years/many times. I'm not sure if the kitchen or management or what changed but we went this past weekend with a party of 5 adults and 2 children- 1) they charged us a 20% gratuity for having a party over 6 people (yes we were 7 but two were little kids 3/4 years old) 2) food was served when ready and not all at the same time 3) 4 of us thought the food (all previously ordered) was nearly inedible 4) server was unconcerned, didn't offer something else or a discount on the bill or an apology or to send the manager over. So sadly- this is now a place we shall not return to or order from again. The first time we got not great food we said, they must be having a bad day. The second time also. The third time- they have lost a good customer. Goodby- lots of other options for similar food.

We had fun with the grandchildren playing with the fire trucks and talking about the fire poles and other firehouse paraphernalia. The food was good bar food. We also enjoyed participating in trivia night

It was as anticipated. Food was fine- nothing special. Waitress despite being busy was very nice. Neighborhood place for a beer and a burger. As long as those are the expectations, you will fine.

If I lived in Evanston, I’d be here every week. The charm of the restored firehouse is clear both outside and inside, and the happy sounds of people eating, drinking, and having fun greeted us as soon as we entered. The 14 beers on tap had a wide variety, including my faves — stouts, hazy IPA, and Belgian white. I got Son of Juice, the Maplewood hazy. Yum. There’s also wine and a full bar.My friend ordered a cheeseburger and I got the Barbecue Chicken Pizza; both were great! The pizza is deep dish but rectangular in shape, served on a 10x14 baking sheet (Detroit Style). I had lots left to take with me, and I ate it on the road the next day. We splurged on a Cookie Skillet for dessert — wow. So good. The outside patio, strung with white lights, looks like a really funplace to eat and drink when it’s warm. All in all, we loved Firehouse!Parking: Be aware that the lot on the same side of the street to the south is not owned by Firehouse. You can park there, but it’s a pay lot. We got there on the earlier side and found free on-street parking nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a single wheelchair parking place on the south side of the building. The entrance, seating, and restroom are all accessible.

The burgers were hearty and delicious. Servers were friendly but I had an issue when we ordered the lava cake. This is a thorn in my side is. the menu advertises a chocolate “lava cake” and this is definitely not a lava cake. It doesn’t have any ooey gooey inside. When the server came to ask how the lava cake was, we were honest and said it wasn’t that good. She made a face and said she agreed. A warning would have been nice.

The Firehouse grill has an air of casual sophistication. The patrons varied from families to couple on dates. The food was really good we had jambalaya and vegie quesadilla with fries. The drink was tastey but a little small for 12. We had a regular coffee with one refill for 8. I thought 4 bucks for a refill out of line. The service was ok. Ill be back.
