To start, the hostess could not find our Open Table reservation which had been made a few weeks in advance. It did not matter because the restaurant was not full, but had it been full, it would have been a problem. Then when she finally found it, after we were seated, she said we had given her the wrong time which was incorrect and why would you say that to paying customers who were already unsettled because of her error? We often drive past great food options in Glencoe, Winnetka, and Wilmette to come to La Tour, French bistro food never gets old, and LT does everything right. BTW, if you want real pommes frites, this is your place. Chicken Tagine is outstanding too. And we like the way the big space breaks down into smaller areas. We'll keep coming back
Le Tour features French and Moroccan food. The chicken tagine is delicious and was enough for an “encore meal” the next day. My friend had the butternut squash bucatini with Italian sausage and crisp fried sage leaves and that almost gave me entree envy. The wine recommendation was spot on, according to my friend. I had the Tunisian rose cocktail. This place also serves the best profiteroles I have ever had, bar none. The service is excellent and the entire staff is friendly....
