Harold's Chicken Shack Evanston

We ordered over 100 chicken wings for our office Black History celebration on Thursday and everyone raved about how great the wings were! This is the second year using this Harold’s location and they’ve yet to disappoint! Nice staff, food was ready to pick up and very tasty! See you next year!

At this Harold’s Chicken location prices are very deceptive!
This is a huge trust issue!
Please post the correct prices!
I was charged a different price than what was posted on the menu board & different from the prices listed on the website!
The restaurant has old signs from the pandemic posted announcing price changes. But no current pricing..
I would have even been satisfied with the cashier taking my order telling me the correct price of my order, but that didn’t happen. I was just charged a different price and nothing was communicated.
I hope this observation helps in continuing a healthy business practice. We need you in the community!

First time here and everything was good from the service to the food !! If you’re familiar with Harold’s you already know that EACH one is different. This one was good . I got a 4 wing dinner with hot sauce on everything. My only slight issue was coleslaw was a little juicy but still good !! If you’re in the area I would suggest stopping by .

Whoever jus made the batch of chicken and fries in the last hour or so need to change the grease or something cause them fries cooked to well and the chicken not cooked well enough so the mild sauce can hold to the chicken without it being too soggy cauS I’m only 1 min from the store by drive && hold back on the salt !!!!!

If they have to cancel an order because they don't have items, they should close a restaurant.

I grew up on Harold's Chicken. It is a continued favorite in my family. However, today's order at the Evanston Howard location was an unfortunate dining experience. The Cook was half an hour late. Once, I finally got my 6 wings and fries, one of the wings was completely black! Not burnt, but BLACK!! Looked dangerous and or diseased! This took all the joy away. from enjoying the rest of my meal. I also want to mention that the nice young lady who took my order and seasoned my food was GREAT! I didn't take back the BLACK wing bc ( let's face it) I am sure they would not have provided a customer friendly remedy. This is verified by all the handwritten signs they have posted in the restaurant (i.e. check your food before you leave...). I was not happy with this visit. If there is a next visit, I will open the bag and check every EVERYTHING!!! I am sadden it has come down to this!!

Whatever you do, don't waste your money here.
Any time you pull the tip off a chicken wing and the bone is still attached AND the middle part, it means the chicken is NOT DONE. Horrible stuff!
Wings should be easy to pull apart when done.

I was visiting from Houston, Texas for my birthday and was told Harold’s was the place to go for fried chicken. Unfortunately, it was not. The chicken was flavorless!

Six years ago I gave 4 stars today maybe 2.5, maybe and I sure hate it had to end this way

Food was good but didnt get everything we ordered through grubhub we order 2 drinks and a gallon of mild sauce and did not receive it so we got jiped out of $25.00+ with our order and when we called the restaurant the number was not available

I vividly recall my recent visit to Harold's Chicken in Evanston. Despite my anticipation for a delightful meal, the experience fell short. The service was surprisingly slow, and the food was merely passable. Additionally, the parking situation outside the restaurant was a cause for concern. Regrettably, my overall impression was disappointing, and I have no intention of revisiting Harold's Chicken in Evanston. It's unfortunate that my expectations weren't met during what I had hoped would be a positive dining experience.

Parking: Watch where you park your vehicle because they will give you a ticket.
