I've heard good things about this place, but it's always been too far out of the way to bother. I happened to finally be in the neighborhood the other day, so I gave it a try. Unfortunately, now I have to keep going out of my way because I'm literally craving more of this food.

Just tried the New Brisket BBQ sandwich, which was suggested by the hostess at the counter, and I flipped out !!! Best Burger Ever!!!! Amazing Taste, flavorful and overall damn Good and the Hostess, much praise for the suggestion!!!

That Pull Pork sandwiche was all the things I've been missing in my life. The fries felt nostagic with that seasoning. If you haven't been. Make the trip. I've been craving this place since then.

I’ve visited several times, and while the customer service has always been fantastic, my experiences with the food have been disappointing.
Most recently, I ordered a combo meal that was drowning in BBQ sauce, which completely masked any other flavors. The meat was also dry, making it unappetizing. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered issues with the food; it seems to be a recurring theme.
I really want to love this place because of the friendly staff and it being a community staple, but I hope they can improve the quality of their food. I might give it one more shot in the future.

Let me start with an OMG… Hecky’s has been in the area 40 years now, the wife and I have been going there all those years. Even the Mother In-Law finally tasted the ribs and she is 30 miles away. She gets us to bring them to her regularly.

I'm new to Chicago and just found Hecky's but OMG, it is a gem. Such a great place to eat. Not a sit down place unless you are good with the sidewalk chairs... but well worth it. A must visit site.

Haven't been able to find Authentic Chicago BBQ since I moved up North 3years. But baby this is Definitely a Gem! Absolutely great service. Food 10/10 I ordered The Chicago Mix 1lb of rib tips and and half hot link and fries. Soo tender and flavorful. And the Sauce is incredible. You won't be disappointed.
