Expensive, chicken and beef skewers are very flavorful. I didn't see a halal certificate, but they say the food is halal and they serve alcohol. Firni was below average.

Outstanding food and service! Best lamb chops we've ever had and loved the cardamom tea pot to share. Highly highly recommend for big or small groups. We'll be back soon!

We ordered a combination platter and Kabuli Pulav, and everything was good, specially the chicken. It was very flavorful and not dry. We also ordered Hibiscus drink which is our all time favorite. In desert we ordered firni which was amazing and not too sweet.

One of my favorite spots for Afghan food in Chicago. We’ve been there countless times and it never disappoints.

Food is really delicious at Kabul House. Have been eating here at 3 different locations. Excellent for vegans and meat eaters. Highly recommend Kabul House.

We recently dined at Kabul House and had a wonderful experience overall. The ambiance was amazing — warm, cozy, and full of authentic Afghan vibes that really set the mood for the meal.

We ordered the Hummus, Bulanee, Aushak, Spicy Chicken Kabob, Chicken Koobideh Kabob, and Afghan Saffron Tea. The kabobs were the absolute highlight — flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked. The Afghan rice served alongside was a hit too — soft, aromatic, and beautifully spiced with carrots and other seasonings that made it incredibly delicious.

The chutneys added a nice spicy kick and paired well with everything we ordered. The only thing we didn’t enjoy much was the pita bread, which felt a bit dry.

Parking was a bit of a struggle, but we managed to find a spot across the street. Despite that, it was totally worth it for the food and atmosphere.

Overall, a great dining experience — delicious food, vibrant ambiance, and wonderful Afghan flavors. Definitely recommend trying their kabobs and rice!

We had been there before for lunch but this was the first time for dinner. We went with another couple and sat outside. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the time together but the food was slightly disappointing. It isn’t the cheapest place to eat and the entrees are served with a mound of rice that could feed an army and they charge significantly for it. I actually ordered a kabob by itself to avoid the rice mound.

I might return but uncertain.

It was a very nice experience!!
