Best authentic Jamaican food in the area! Nobody compares to their flaky beef patties, curry chicken, and soup of the day! Friendly environment as well, I have become a regular now over the years. Lunch specials are reasonable and worth it. Yummy yummy yummy 😋

Didn’t want to give it any stars but you have to in order to leave a review. Oxtails were full of fat and bone. Literally no meat. They give you a big plate of rice with barely any meat. This is the 3rd time I’ve tried to give them a chance because it’s flavorful but I’ll definitely never eat here again. Not worth the money especially if you’re super hungry you’ll be disappointed. The Mac and cheese was absolutely bland no flavor at all tasted like salted pasta. Very disappointing.

$15.44 for a chicken quarter dinner 😒 👎🏾 Under cooked cabbage & who puts green beans and sweet peas in cabbage. The rice got some flavor, the chicken mediocre and the sauce don’t taste like spicy soy sauce 🤦🏾♂️. Please do better!!!

The jerk chicken needs to be seasoned even without jerk sauce. No reason I should be eating dry grilled chicken & it’s called jerk because there’s rice & pea(because they’re barely peas), & the cabbage has mixed veggies & it’s spicy? Please get better cooks. The only thing good was the plantain & the oxtails are extremely rubbery. Yall are the main Jamaican spot in Evanston, stop being average. That’s why people go to Claire’s! Besides the food it’s a great restaurant
