The best Arepa I've had in Evanston, and better than any one I've had in Chicago. We will definitely be back.
So flavorful and affordable, I almost want to gatekeep this spot.

Worst arepa I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even eat it. The meat was old. Disgusting.

I'm so disappointed! I have supported this restaurant for years and used to frequent their smaller store front all the time. First time in their bigger store: and it was a terrible experience. I had brought my mom who was in from out of town to try the food as I was considering renting their food truck for me and my fiance's wedding. We waited OVER AN HOUR in the restaurant for our carryout order! But that's not the part that makes me mad: we literally watched two groups who came after us get food. Our SAME MEAL included! When we asked the first time how long it would be, they said it would still be 10 minutes, 20 minutes later the girl at the front told us she didn't know what we wanted her to do because there were only two people cooking. That doesn't change the fact that we arrived before the other people who came after us! After having to put money for the car meter twice, we finally got our food by 8pm. I never complain but when we did, they didn't say anything at all. If they'd just been more apologetic I probably would have let it slide, but nope. Needless to say, not having for the wedding. Doubt I'll come back despite always loving their food.

Haven’t had the pleasure of dining in but I’ve been blown away by the food with every order. Very authentic Venezuelan food and the owner is very passionate about his business. Love that!
I’ve tried all their arepas. Haven’t had their tacos but my faves are La Llanera and La Reina Pepiada. Their churros are good. Rice and beans are not bland at all.
I can recommend this place 200% with confidence! Please don’t change

This is the second time my arepa has taken over 40 minutes to arrive. The first time was shortly after the reopening so I thought I would give them another chance. However this time will probably be my last. Between the price point, portion size, and wait time, I don't recommend this place.

Food was good. Could have been seasoned a little more. The sauce they give you is phenomenal. Atmosphere was terrible because there were 5-6 kids just screaming (Playing, not crying) the entire time and running around the entire restaurant.

Food, service and atmosphere were great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Not to busy when we went (about 2pm). We stayed for a while after eating, had some cocktails and chatted. Wonderful place, highly recommend!

Empanadas were crisped to perfection and the flan was richer than Warren Buffett. In a word, delightful.
