Amazing poke place. The loaded miso soup might be the best miso soup I’ve had! Extra flavor.
The food is fantastic, as a celiac it’s safe and delicious, the atmosphere is chill but the service is really where they stand out. Ari has helped us a few times. Always with a smile and patient and is what we all wish for anytime we interact with a business!!! He is great!!

The restaurant features a beautiful, lush, plant-filled atmosphere that is at once beautiful, calming, and cozy, with a fresh ice-water stand. There is a wonderful plan where guests get a free bowl after so many card punches. The atmosphere is super warm and inviting, with good music. Pono Ono is a go-to spot in Evanston, highly recommended over Aloha Poke down the street.
