The same thing has happened to me twice now in the past month. I highly encourage everyone to exercise extreme caution when ordering food for delivery from this restaurant.
Three weeks ago, we ordered food for delivery. It was late -- more than 40 minutes late. When I called the restaurant, they told me the delivery service hadn’t come to get my food yet but that it had been sitting there ready for pickup. Lao Sze Chuan in Evanston offers delicious food with great service. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is kept clean. The staff is attentive, even assisting with ordering through a QR code. The Szechuan chicken, home style tofu, and sesame noodles were all excellent choices. Pickup was quick and easy, with the food still hot upon arrival. Overall, a highly recommended spot for Chinese food in Evanston.
