To start off the food with some of the best food I've ever eaten The inside was nice, cozy and clean and the staff were amazing and were very cooperative when I lost my Fitbit

Everything we ordered was amazing! We want to come back tomorrow!! Delicious, creative, fresh generous portions, and great service in a fun, artful, sun filled/inspired interior. A lot of the family seems to work here, the magical realist paintings are a family member too.

Absolutely delicious. We needed to find breakfast on our way from Milwaukee and stumbled upon this place. I'm so glad we stopped in. The food was really good and the staff were all very kind and attentive. The seating is just a little cramped as a heads up but nothing I'd complain about. I liked the ambiance overall. The coffee was really good as well.

Food was flavorful & made it easy to brunch with people with dietary restrictions! As a vegan, you will not be disappointed - OVO Vegan Burrito was 9.5/10. Only recommendation is a slightly larger portion size.

Personal favorite breakfast place. It's a descendant of a place on Damen ave. Family owned, great portions and recipes.

Excellent cafe, well deserving of praise! The ambiance is bright and festive. My wife and I, plus our son visiting from college had a wonderful lunch with food left over! The staff and service were impeccable. Although local for us, yesterday was the first time for us to visit. The food was of excellent taste and was presented well! We highly recommend this cafe and will have to try something different from their menu to see if it tops the great choices we had already.

Great spicy breakfast food!I had Derek's Favorite Eggs, a wonderful blend of flavors and textures, Nice and spicy with Chorizo, but not overwhelmingly so. One of the best breakfast skillets I've ever had. Also very warm, bright atmosphere and efficient service.

Food was 9/10 service was 10/10 and noise level because it was crowded 11/10. But over all great.

Derek's Favorite Eggs: Two eggs over easy potato hash, diced jalapeños and red peppers, topped with Chihuahua cheese, chipotle ketchup topped with sour cream and guacamole. With your choice of toast. The Julius Meinl coffee should not be overlooked! Great!

Very typical Evanston cafe. Not bad but nothing groundbreaking. Don't sit at the bar—servers will constantly bump into you.

Got to check out this restaurant during our recent trip to Evanston. Decor is great, service is prompt but a little pushy. We weren't done eating when our server brought that check. Food was okay. Wish it could have been better.

First time going to Ovo Frito Cafe and won’t be our last time. We got Derek’s Favorite Eggs, breakfast tacos and a side of pancakes and everything was incredible. Staff was friendly and so efficient we were in and out in under 30 minutes. Highly recommend!
