I ordered nearly every other day from this place because I do love the food however, for the price every time I order the portions get smaller. I clearly wrote a note on the Doordash order for them to please be mindful about proportion because every time I order it gets smaller and it’s like the note was disregarded. They put a smaller portion Like if they just don’t care about their customers!

Kind of unique in that it's all takeout. They are incredibly fast, the salads are excellent, there is some nice variety of ingredients, proteins, flavor profiles.

I was a big fan of picnic for the last year or so, but they've frankly gotten quite a bit worse recently. Prices are higher now, portions are smaller, and they've changed what's in some of the bowls while forgetting to update on the menu (the avo & the egg doesn't have marinated beans anymore). To top it all off, I found a piece of plastic in one of my bowls. Hoping that they turn it around, so hopefully this is a wakeup call for management

I work in downtown Evanston, and I order from here most weeks (sometimes twice a week). The food is consistently delicious, and, as someone who cannot eat gluten, I really appreciate Picnic's diversity of menu options as well.

Have a vegan section on website for variations of meals made vegan but only way to order vegan is to put in notes to chef in app. Still received bowl with egg but without barley, confusing vegan with gluten free. Immediately fixed but double check or be very clear in instructions. Other than that, fresh delish food.

Picnic was my go to takeout place for years. Then recently it was sold. And it has honestly gone downhill precipitously. The portions are significantly smaller. The new food containers are not compostable or recyclable. They’re always out of bags and forks. It’s not what it was and the change is not good.

Tried Picnic for the first time today and it was amazing! I had the salmon with the miso dressing, and I think I found my new favorite spot. The food was so fresh and the flavors were 10/10.

I've visited multiple times and have always been delighted with the experience. The service is always quick, and the food is always delicious and filling - which, as a vegetarian,can sometimes be difficult to find. I'm certain that I'll keep visiting in the future!
I ordered the “Rabbit food” and added avocado and a few other ingredients and it was superb!! The colors were so vibrant and the salad was beyond delicious. Just thinking of it right now, makes my mouth water. Definitely a hit! I’ll be back

I typically don’t write negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my recent experience. Unfortunately, I suffered from food poisoning after dining at this establishment yesterday 01/16/25 around lunch time. It seems there may have been issues with cross-contamination or handwashing practices among the staff. I truly hope this feedback encourages the management to enhance their sanitary measures, as food safety is CRITICAL!!! for everyone’s well-being. I prefer cooked vegetables and they have an abundance. The rosemary cashews are excellent! This salad was flavorful and full of variety. The Green goodness dressing is wonderfully tangy and creamy. I didn't love the chicken thighs as I felt they were bland for "spiced chicken thighs" but they were moist and tender. High quality feta and the tomato-onion mixture is full of umami. A great way to eat well without waste and highly recommended for anyone who wants a roasted vegetable salad. I built my own with roasted broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes. Satisfying and not excessively priced. The grain base was warm and fresh. I am impressed!
