Four friends and I went to Prairie Moon for lunch at 1 PM on a Friday. We could enter the restaurant by stairs or on an elevator. Our server, Cassie, was attentive. We ordered the tomato basil soup, salmon chowder, grilled salmon, and grilled whitefish. The fish plates included broccoli and/or mashed potatoes or French fries. The restaurant was not busy, so we enjoyed a relaxed conversation. We agreed that the food was good.

The worst, most disappointing meal I've had in a restaurant in many years. Things that should have been crunchy were soggy and all the other textures were off too. Everything tasted like somebody dumped six spices at random into the pot. Very off putting

Found out about this place’s happy hour and decided to check it out. Upon entering u walk downstairs into a basement which I was like ok, but keeping an open mind. The atmosphere was very dry very lil customers and i wasn’t greeted until i happened to see someone I knew also dining at the bar(a regular there) and the staff seemed to lighten up a bit once they saw i knew someone. While the food was good $1 shrimp on happy hour and a fair amount of other drink and food options the vibes definitely leave something to be desired and service was slow. I however was still impressed by the value and even made a TikTok showcasing their happy hour menu. Fast forward 2 days and i decide to give them another shot as everyone has off days…
I was so disappointed. I arrived at 4p and sat at the bar I was 1 of 3 people. I sat patiently and waited for someone to acknowledge me, I made eye contact with 2 different staff members and still no one said a word. After 15 minutes I walked over to the bartender who was zesting a lemon and asked if I could please order when someone got a chance, he said sure and he came to take my order bout 3 minutes later. Obviously I was ready given the time I’d had so I told him I wanted to start with a half dozen shrimp extra lemon and a water. I got 5 shrimp no extra lemon and no one ever came to check back until I was done eating and it was a completely different person . At that point i didn’t want to order anything else. I asked for my check and tipped 100% because I don’t know if they thought i wouldn’t tip or what the case was but i even witnessed a couple come to the bar after me and get greeted promptly so it was overall just a really bad experience and it sucked because the food is good.
Great food and friendly staff! Get the blackened shrimp tacos!

Food was okay here but this establishment charged my credit card $104 for a $45 meal. I don't appreciate having to take time to file a dispute to have that money refunded. Service was lacking here... I usually am willing to be understanding about that, but not if there are major errors in overcharging.
