Spice Restaurant is a five-star triumph of Indian cuisine that turns every visit into a celebration. The moment you step inside, the air hums with cardamom, cumin, and sizzling garlic, while sleek wooden tables and soft amber lighting create an inviting warmth. We kicked off with the Samosa Chaat, a masterpiece of crisp pastry shards draped in cool yogurt, tart tamarind, and a crunch of sev that exploded with flavor in every bite. The Butter Chicken arrived in a glossy, brick-red sauce so silky it coated the spoon, paired with chicken so tender it fell apart at the touch of a fork. Our server, Priya, guided us flawlessly—suggesting the perfect spice level and steering us toward the Garlic Naan that emerged blistering hot, butter-glossed, and impossible to resist. Even the Mango Lassi Martini was a revelation: creamy, tropical, and dangerously smooth.
The magic continued with the Lamb Rogan Josh, a slow-cooked symphony of cloves, cinnamon, and chili that built gentle heat without ever overpowering the lamb’s deep, savory richness. Vegetarians at our table swooned over the Paneer Tikka Masala, where charred paneer cubes luxuriated in a tomato-cream gravy brightened with fresh cilantro. Every dish arrived piping hot, beautifully plated, and portioned for sharing—though we guarded our plates fiercely. Spice doesn’t just serve food; it delivers joy on a plate, with service that’s attentive yet unobtrusive and flavors that linger long after the bill. This is destination dining at its finest—bold, authentic, and utterly unforgettable. Five stars, booked solid in my calendar.

This food was so good I asked her to meet me 🤭
Oh my! This might be the best Jamaican restaurant in Chicago, and its located in Evanston. Ordered a bunch of stuff last week, came back this weekend for more, that's how good their food is. Had the curry goat and that was well seasoned, moist, and delicious. We also had the oxtail and those were tender, seasoned to perfection, and scrumptious. We had the jerk chicken as well and that was moist and seasoned well. We had the chicken foot soup and it was 'transport me back to Kingston' good. We had the red pea soup this time and that was beautiful! My goodness they know how to cook in this restaurant. Beautiful food and beautiful friendly family running it. We drove an hour and a half for this food and we would do it again and again.

Delicious. We had the ox tail, jerk chicken, plantains, and pound cake—everything was so good! The restaurant is small inside but there are two cute seating areas in the back and front. Perfect meal on a relaxed Saturday. We will be back!
